Basically Plug and Play
Pros: Was able to plug in, format, and use no problems. Price.
Cons: A little slower, as it should be, but I'm using it for storage, so its a nonissue.
Overall Review: Using this with a Sans Digital 4 bay enclosure for network storage. Got it on sale for 10$ off, 2TB for 100$, ability to add more later, just don't try to use this as a boot drive and you'll be fine.
Not the quality I would have expected
Pros: Fits LGA 775 port. Cools decently well. Pretty quiet.
Cons: Arrived in rather bad shape, the metal part of one of the clips was badly bent. Needle nose pliers were able to fix that. Fan refuses to stay clipped to the heat sink. Ended up breaking part of the plastic to try and get it to clip securely on... oddly enough, it fits tighter once broken in two places than it did in one piece...
Overall Review: Bought for a media center, didn't want to have to deal with a replacement, so pulled out the tools and fixed it myself. The cracked plastic might be fixable with some super glue, but it honestly fits better now, so I think I'll leave it.
GREAT PRODUCT!
Pros: Does what it should. Low profile is nice, fits easily where I want it to and slides in and out without the wires getting caught.
Cons: Wire organizers get crowded?... is that a con?
Overall Review: Have everything in my entertainment setup run through this (TV, computer, two consoles, modem, router, etc.) Haven't filled all the sockets, but the spacing is really well designed.
Came without drivers?
Pros: Basically plug and play. Bought for a media center that needed a low profile bracket, this included it and install was easy.
Cons: Maybe I'm missing something here, but I tried twice, and the CD included said it didn't have the correct drivers. Took off one egg because I had to go to the website and download.
Overall Review: So far works great. Maybe I'm being a little harsh with the con, but it annoyed me. Wish the price was lower too... 10$ more for the remote seemed excessive.
Great Product
Pros: Does exactly what it should. Easy set-up, although like others said, the spacing does get a little tight. Wish the price was lower, but it is fair for the product.
Cons: Wish someone had posted that the board has SATA data and power available. Not an issue because I figured it probablly would, but it would have been nice to see this listed in the specs somewhere, or even just a close up shot of the board.
Overall Review: Wish I had waited 2-3 days and got the eSATA version when it went on sale for about 50$ less than what I paid...
Awful
I'd rate 0 eggs if possible. I've shopped with newegg for years with confidence that I would receive what I paid for. Newegg is fantastic. This third party vendor stinks. I paid for a backup battery for a camera. The voltage, amperage, and wattage in the picture for the battery I ordered appeared correct. Even though it was listed as for an older camera from the same manufacturer, the manufacturer says that batteries for their older camera's will work for the newer model. Once again, the specifications pictured matched 100% the stock battery that ships with the newer camera. I had every reason to believe that this battery would work. I received a battery that was not the one pictured. The specifications were different from the pictured product and the product I received. I called and emailed the vendor. I was told that the correct product shipped (even though it wasn't, the email included pictures). Read the other reviews for this vendor and buyer beware.
