This review is from: Crucial M4 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT128M4SSD2
Pros: These drives are awesome!
Blazing fast in raid 0, or just 1 by itself.
So far they have been reliable.
Really good price point for a 128gb ssd that is SATA III (especially if you get them on sale)
Cons: Had to wait for them to come in the mail?
:p really though, none so far.
Other Thoughts: what are you still reading for? buy one now.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This thing was awesome in my m11x for the time it worked. (this is why it gets 2 stars instead of 1)
Cons: Well first i should say that it didnt last very long. Just like every other product I have gotten from ocz.
OCZ's RMA is not so great since whoever I spoke with informed me that i must pay shipping if i want to send it back.
I will not be doing this because: A it took a big dump on me when i was using my laptop to show a customer plans for a living room remodel. B the crucial ssds are a way better bang for your buck. I have had my 2 M4's for a while now and they perform flawlessly together with raid0 in my desktop as a boot and game install drive.
Other Thoughts: If you are reading this you must take into account that almost all SSD manufacturers have DOA drives and drives that fail sometimes. When you make the switch to solid state, i wouldn't use it without keeping EVERYTHING important you have backed up elsewhere on something more reliable.
That being said i still feel that OCZ should at least replace them with free shipping both ways. At least then i could still use it as a external drive. Then i wouldnt feel as if i had just thrown over 150$ into the fire.
