Great device
Pros: We have this mounted (with built-in magnet) to our fridge. When we run out of something you push the button and add it to the list. When printed the list is organized by category (dairy, meat etc.)Voice recognition is as good or better than most cell phones.
Cons: Does not do the shopping.
Overall Review: You can add items not in the 2,500 item list.
Meh
Pros: Nice form factor with slot loading and tablet form that is easy for a 2 year old to hold. Includes wireless headphones that work fairly well. Nice remote and extras for mounting on a car seat etc.Great player when it works!
Cons: Player reads disks erratically.Occassionally movies stop for no reason in the middle and the machine must be restarted.Seems to take forever to load menu and start movie.Remote seems to have stopped working, but have not tried new batteries.
Overall Review: The picture is great, I am just dissapointed with the reliablity. It is fine for an adult user, but in the hands a a child this unit may prove to be too frustrating.
Corsair losing ground?
Pros: Great when it works.
Cons: As a small system builder I have used Corsair exclusively for years. In recent months I have been experiencing over a 50% failure rate of their RAM in the VS and XMS2 lines.Corsair admits the RAM is bad and will RMA it, but I fear the replacement will be bad too.
Overall Review: This holds true across different brands of boards,BIOSs and CPU configs.I am going to switch brands for now.
No 6 pin conector
Pros: Has a six pin connector for old Intel rambus boards. Nice price.
Cons: It DOES NOT have a six pin connector! I recieved the correct part, but there is no 6 pin as specified and shown in the picture.
Bad Box revisited
Pros: It turns out that there was some conflict with Nero 6 (with the latest updates)and this media.Upon further trials the media worked flawlesly in machines running Roxio, the program bundled with the drives, but not compatible with XP64.The solution for me has been to burn the disks in DVD Decrypter and then label them in SureThing.I hope this helps anyone having the same issue.
Cons: compatability
Overall Review: The CD-Rs did not have the same problem.
Great router
Pros: I replaced my DLINK DI524 with this router. The 524 had worked well untill I put a PC in the kitchen. The line of site to the router was through a roof, that when covered with snow proved to be inpenatrable. The MIMO router took the signal from low to none to full 54Mbps.I can even stream a network cam and MP3s while the microwave 4 feet away is running. Try that with any other router.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: My 2 year old ASUS notbook with an AERES 802.11 card connects at 108Mbps!
