Pros: You will get a lot of troubleshooting experience and become very familiar with their RMA procedures
Cons: Lasts less than a few weeks.
Terrible service and turn around on MULTIPLE replacements
Slow transfer speeds ( I mean like 200k /sec)
Other Thoughts: This is my second review of this product. I got the first one and it lasted about a week before failing. I got the second one and it lasted a few weeks before failing. I got the third and it died again after a couple of months.
I will not be sending it back again. The $ spent on return shipping could have paid for another product.
Engenius seems to respond to some of the feedback here but that is where the service ends. Not only were the replacements useless, but it took almost as much time to get the replacements as the units lasted before failing.
Skip it. Spend a few $ more and save yourself a lot of headache.
Pros: None to speak of
Cons: The first one I received lasted about 3 days and then failed. It would power on but would not broadcast etc. The replacement lasted about 2 months with the same failure. I was unable to connect to it via wireless or wired to even try and troubleshoot.
I am an I.T. guy for a living so this is not an ID10T error.
Other Thoughts: I am going to send this in to engenius for warranty but am having major reservations about spending another $10 on shipping for an item that I expect to just fail again.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: They have good magnets in them that are fun to play with after the drive dies. you can tear them out and use them as fridge magnets.
Cons: I have had multiple failures with these drives and have had one get RMA'd 3 times now with the 3rd one being returned dead right out of the box.
Other Thoughts: unacceptable failure rate and their RMA policy seems to be taking your dead drive and just shipping out to someone else. One of them was dead the day i got it.READ FULL REVIEW
