1 out of 5 eggs Not sold on new wireless technology 04/12/2014

This review is from: Intel 7260HMWDTX1 Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 PCIe plus Bluetooth 4.0 AC1200 Wireless adapters

Pros: Dual Band, Wireless AC. Far less interference on the motherboard over my old draft N card.

Cons: Does not play nice with my Dlink all. Consistently drops connection speed from 130Mpbs down to 4-10Mbps. Pretty awful. Changing channels, frequency, etc. does not help.

I've never had a bad Intel product and the reviews made it seem like a safe buy.

Other Thoughts: My old WMP 300N works far better, but creates a considerable amount of interference. This Intel product does not and I can't help but wonder if it's due to a weak antenna.

In all fairness, my location is not ideal. I am 2 floors up and accross the house from the router. However, my ancient WMP 300N Linksys DRAFT N card gets full signal strength when combind with my Dlink DIR-655

Was an awful experience and epic struggle getting the card. Was delivered to the wrong place. Took Newegg nearly a month to get me the replacement. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for the 3 business day and avoid anything that uses USPS or DHL.

NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Lots of space. Borderline excessive amounts of space. I love it. Great for anyone doing a water-cooled set up.

LEDs turn on and off, which is great to preserve their lifespan and conducive to sleep!

Highly customizable. Watch the video provided by Newegg!

Looks amazing.

Great cable management

Aside from a shoddy paint job, it is excellently made it definitely worth the money

Cons: Has a door. Doors on computers are like spoilers on a Grand Am, completely functionless and typically look pretty stupid.

Front intake fan is raised in order to accommodate space for radiator. This in turn limits the amount of air being pulled into the case.

This may seem trivial but this is an extremely annoying issue with the case. If you have this behemoth-sized case on a desk, as I do, you need to stand your lazy behind up before you unplug or plug ANYTHING into the front headphone jacks. This is because the power and reset buttons are right there and they are EXTREMELY touchy. I accidentally turned off my computer minutes before writing this review.

This is a largely steel case so it is obviously coated in paint. The paint job is not the best. While it looks nice, it very easily chips off.

Other Thoughts: This thing is enormous. Fully loaded it will easily weighs over 40lbs. Due to the size and weight it's a two man job to move this thing any kind of distance measured in feet rather than inches.

Top fan came oriented as an intake fan? May want to consider buying some extra fans and changing the airflow set up.

Although the door is stupid as-all-get-out, this one is nicely made. Uses magnets and has no stupid plastic parts that click together (like the Phantom 410). Doesn't slam shut either.

Fan controller isn't very useful (unless you have all variable speed fans).

All-in-all I highly recommend this case

Pros: Best cpu I've owned yet. Don't bother with an i7 if it's a gaming rig.

Cons: Not an i7
