This review is from: Rosewill RNX-EasyN1 Wireless-N 4.0 Dongle (1T1R) IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 150Mbps Data Rates WPA/WPA2 (AES, 64,128-WEP with shared-key authentication) WPS PIN, PBC (Hardware WPS Button) QoS-WMM
Pros: Low cost, compact.
Cons: Does not sustain more than 6.5Mbps when a competitive adapter in same position & pc will go up to 105Mbps. Maybe I got a couple of duds (I bought 2 of these, both behaved the same way.)
Other Thoughts: Honestly, I'd say pay extra and get a better brand (Linksys, D-Link, Cisco, etc.) Leave the cheap stuff on the shelf.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great set of features. I was really excited about a "low power" NAS (USB connected hard drive.)
Cons: The one feature that *really* attracted me to this router despite its premium price was the (Network Storage). After a few weeks of very light home use (no gaming or HD streaming!), it has completely failed. I guess it was just too good to be true :-(
Other Thoughts: Earlier, I submitted a glowing report for this product. If this product lasted a few years, it would have stayed so. From the start the USB -attached storage was a little flaky. I thought it was just regular "teething" pains we often go thru with new computer hardware. But, no. Now it won't connect to the external USB drive at all. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. (I've opted to down-grade to the E2000 (almost half the price w/o Storage feature) and try a different network drive sharing approach. I shall keep my fingers crossed that the E2000 does not disappoint.)READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Easy setup. Network file storage using a USB-attached HDD is a great feature. (Saves the need for a file server PC.) Lots of other features.
Cons: The value of the 5GHz band eludes me. It does not seem to propagate as far as 2.4G signal. This may be due to the nature of my home setup (walls, cabinets, etc.) So, I have shut it off and run 2.4G only.
Other Thoughts: Bought this to finally bring 'N'-capability and the latest WiFi security to my home network. Using the USB-connected external storage feature to support a secure shared network drive. It all works great.READ FULL REVIEW
