This review is from: Rosewill RCAD-11003 USB3.0 Adapter For IDE/SATA Device
Pros: The Powersupply included was nice and I prefer that to the ones I have from my ByteCC USB 2.0 Drive Mate units.
Cons: Slow speed
Disconnects quite regularly
Other Thoughts: I cannot recommend this product at all. The only good thing I could find in dealing with it was the fact that the Powersupply cable was nice with separate SATA and Molex connectors.
The unit itself was nothing but problems with slow transfers quite often and disconnecting in the middle of large file transfers. No rhyme or reason to it as I've not experience that problem on either of the ByteCC units I have (tried in both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard).
This review is from: Microsoft Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player Add-On
Pros: Good Price
Many movies are dirt cheap
Works on PC as well
Decent Remote that also works nice for all other 360 functions.
Good to have to protect investment in HD-DVDs
From boot to Playing is faster than my venerable HD-XA1
Cons: No new releases as format war over.
King Kong not included even though displayed in pictures on Newegg.
Did I mention, dead format?
Other Thoughts: This is actually my second 360 HD-DVD Drive, so I'm not really upset about not getting King Kong since I still have a sealed copy from a previous purchase of this drive (and an open one). I think they should update the pictures though or make a note of that on the Specifications page. I bought it mainly as a backup drive for my 360 (which I use more for HD-DVD than my XA1). I've been happy with the playback and I've got a modest collection of HD-DVDs that is still growing. There are plenty of good deals to be had on some great movies. Overall a much better price-to-quality ratio than Blueray before format war ended. Even better Price-to-Quality ratio versus Blueray since HD-DVD is discontinued and places are unloading stock. I do own few items in both formats and in most cases prefer the HD-DVD version.READ FULL REVIEW
