Xbox One Chat Headset
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

1 out of 5 eggs Worst, headset, period 12/13/2014

This review is from: Xbox One Chat Headset

Pros: Ha?

I guess they fixed the lack of sensitivity from the 360 mic??

Cons: Doesn't sit right on anyone's head in my apartment, including my own.

Mic literally sits against your cheek and picks up static everytime you move your mouth to talk because it's scraping the boom.

Mic is overly sensitive to the point it can hear what's going on across the room.

Speaker even on maximum volume still isn't audible enough to be heard. The TV output on blended is louder than the headset. This is my main gripe because it makes cooperative gaming incredibly difficult since I can't hear what my team members are saying to me or otherwise.

Doesn't work 90% of the time without soft restarting the xbox. This seems like a software issue, but might not be... Either way from a hard reset on the console, to ingame... the mic won't work and I'll have to soft restart the console for it to magically start working... makes zero sense.

If the mic isn't connected to the controller on console power on it won't work even though it's detected.

Other Thoughts: It came with the console... can't complain too much right? Ha....

Get turtle beaches for the love of all that is PC Master Race.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition GV-R797TO-3GD 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Good performance for price.
Good cooling ability and stable temperature under load.
Looks nice?

Drivers can recover unlike Nvidia ones, if you do something stupid there's a chance you'll just have to close what you're doing and start over... unlike Nvidia where a crashed driver = BSOD.

Cons: Had a bearing failure a few months into owning it, had to RMA through Gigabyte which was rather annoying... However card came back noise free...

Other Thoughts: If the fan fails again I'm just getting an aftermarket cooler, never had an issue with Gigabyte as a whole... but the second fan is making an odd noise at load.

Only experienced two bsods after moving to this card from Nvidia garbage. Both accounts were from me screwing with settings and overloading the driver.

4 out of 5 eggs Four out of five eggs, two out of three games 11/28/2014

Pros: Two of the three games worked?

Cons: Picked a Ubisoft game for the third, didn't work because uplay never recognized the code. Got a replacement code from Ubisoft and it STILL didn't work! Garbage program!

Other Thoughts: Steam games worked just fine, codes worked without issue... oh Ubisoft...
