G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR

Pros: Bought this for my system, got 16gb of it as anything else really isn't needed... Have used G.Skill in every PC I've made for a customer or otherwise for years and have never had an issue.

They work? I mean it's a RAM card... it should do what you expect it to... what pros? lol

Cons: Nada, no issues.

Other Thoughts: Wish the heat spreaders were blue, but black is just as well.

Pros: You know what to expect here... bought this as a secondary drive for my system. Primarily purchased this because of the 24/7 reliability and such, and since I leave my system running as such with Folding@Home going normally.

Cons: The drive has a somewhat slow initial spin up of 1-3 seconds, which is somewhat odd... but given the size of the drive and what it is I assume that to be the reason. After spinup it works at proper speeds, just that idle-running phase that it lags some.

One star away simply because of that initial spin up lag, otherwise it's fine.

Other Thoughts: I can hear this thing spin up and click over my case fans and other hard drives... I find it comical though at just how loud the spin up is on start. Though the 'loud' isn't obnoxious, just a high pitch whine and then silence.

Creative Sound Blaster Zx 116dB PCIe Gaming Sound Card with 600ohm Headphone Amp and Desktop Audio Control Module

Pros: Superb audio quality, software is nice as well.

Really.. it's one of those you have to hear it to know, but it was a huge step up from the onboard audio(Realtek garbage) on my motherboard.

Quality construction as with all Creative products.

Cons: LED on card is red? My system is blue and this thing emits a red glow... lol... annoying.

I encountered multiple issues with the soundcard simply working, and then not working at random intervals... FINALLY got it sorted out with some help from Creative's tech support and purging the remnants of the Realtek software that was left behind.

Card has worked fine since the above issues, driver conflicts are fun...

I have used Creative products since the 90s and this is still on par with what I expect from them.
