ASUS Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Very fast motherboard once I finally got it working after 2 days of troubleshooting and finally narrowed it down to the power supply. Well laid out dual bios system. Definitely a board for an overclocker, but if you don't plan on going anything faster then turbo mode on the CPU, then stick with a deluxe. Plenty of features to play with. Overall a very great board.

Cons: Experienced the same problem as one of the other owners in this review having the motherboard light up but not post. I bought a corsair ax1200i to power this beast along with triple sli in the near future, but after 2 days of trouble shooting, I tested my old psu and everything fired up flawlessly.

Overall Review: Still trying to figure out if the issue is a compatibility issue between the psu and motherboard, but I have win 8 installed (probably going back to 7) and got the 3930k in turbo already until I can get everything else installed.

G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9T-12GBSR2
G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9T-12GBSR2

Pros: upgraded and downsized from 6x2gb ddr3 1333 to a 3x4gb 1600 kit on an old i7 920 x58 platform I built in 2009 and runs great. Already had updated bios installed and XMP loaded fine.

Cons: heat spreaders seem a little on the cheap side and made it a tight fit when locking into the dimm slots
