Rosewill 6ft USB 2.0 to Mini USB

Rosewill RCW-108 - 6-Foot USB 2.0 A Male to Mini B (5-Pin) Male, Black
Rosewill RCW-108 - 6-Foot USB 2.0 A Male to Mini B (5-Pin) Male, Black

Pros: Cheap cable (2.99) I use to a) use my HTC xv6700 as a high speed modem for my laptop when wifi isn't avilable; b) to charge my HTC that has poor battery life I bought 2; so I can leave one at work and one with the laptop at all times

Cons: Shipping is almost always more exspensive than the product unless you can get a "free 3 day shipping" on an item which newegg does fairly regularly.

Newer technology is not always the best

Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless Broadband Router 802.11b/g up to 54Mbps/ 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4
Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless Broadband Router 802.11b/g up to 54Mbps/ 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4

Pros: Stable fast 802.11b/g wireless router that is very automatic and good at what it does....but please see below

Cons: I have owner numerous linksys wrt54g ver x routers in my life and have always loved loading DD-WRT (aftermarket free OS) with the base wrt54g they are shipping 4mb rom's (use to be up to 8mb); these new wrt54g2's specifically have a 2mb rom which is not big enough to load aftermarket roms...beware if your intentions were upgrading

Pros: Not many, made in china

Cons: the fact that I purchased it from newegg!

The new Linksys cable modem

LINKSYS CM100 Cable Modem with USB and Ethernet Connections Ethernet Port DOCSIS 1.0, DOCSIS 1.1 Certified, DOCSIS 2.0 Certified, IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, USB1.1
LINKSYS CM100 Cable Modem with USB and Ethernet Connections Ethernet Port DOCSIS 1.0, DOCSIS 1.1 Certified, DOCSIS 2.0 Certified, IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, USB1.1

Pros: I have had a few of the linksys befcmu10 (previous cable modem model) and they had always lasted through everything minus mere direct lighting hits, I bought this new model and have a 10mb/cable internet through charter and it is absolutly blistering fast on all speedtest reports I get a tad over my 10mb reported (although yes I know almost any other modem including charters rental's could acheive this with good enough line conditions (the surfboard modems)

Cons: I can't really say there is a con; I wouldn't have minded buying "the old model" for maybe 15/20 bucks off the price.
