This review is from: NEW Black PC Wireless Controller Gaming Receiver For XBOX 360
Pros: Works flawlessly, once installed.
Cons: Device isn't instantly recognized and you have to force Device Manager to install the X-Box 360 wireless adapter driver to get it working. A bit annoying, and I had to look up the steps to make sure I pick the right driver.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Pros: Speakers have good heft, sound great, have great equalizer presets, my favorite of which is the "action gaming" preset. I watched Tron Legacy on Blu-Ray with these speakers and enjoyed the full audio quality Blu-Ray has to offer on these speakers. Enough base to feel all the thunderous effects, and enough midrange / treble to get the full sense of the sound stage. The speakers aren't 5.1, but I prefer 2.1 sets, so that is not an issue for me.
Cons: Speakers aren't THX certified - although I can imagine if they were tested, they'd pass. Input switching is a bit clunky. Multiple input speakers are normally 'all inputs live at all times' - these speakers may be better for actual input switching, I just wish there was a button or buttons to easily / quickly switch inputs. There are tiny noises when changing the volume on the control pod, not static from contacts, but a strange noise as you adjust volume. You have to listen very closely to notice, and it's one of those things that is probably easy to ignore - given the static laden Logitechs I sent back in lieu of this set, it's a very minor quibble.
Other Thoughts: The clunkiness of the input switching is all I dinged this set for. Otherwise, I am completely happy with this product.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The drive looks great, runs great, it's quiet - overall a great experience for an optical drive
Cons: PowerDVD 9 which comes with the drive is 'adequate,' but I ran into a problem playing Avatar. It wouldn't run, the software said it needed an udpate. I ended up upgrading to PowerDVD 10 and that fixed the problem.
Other Thoughts: You might as well get the drive bare and buy the software separate, since you'll end up buying the software anyways.READ FULL REVIEW
