This review is from: Silicon Power Touch 835 32GB Waterproof USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model SP032GBUF2835V1T
Pros: Small size & lightweight
Cons: While I was able to transfer files to and from the drive quickly enough, that was not the purpose behind the purchase. The purpose of the purchase was to get a flash drive large enough to hold two VHDs and to run the VHDs from this drive. The sad part is, my old 8GB DataTravelers perform a great deal faster than this stick.
When running my VHDs off the DataTravelers, they were slow in comparison to my external HDD, yet I could do work. However, with this data stick, I want to pull my hair out with how freakishly sluggish it is. I am talking I double click an icon and wait nearly 2 minutes for it to start to do anything.
Other Thoughts: I should have researched this a bit more. That is my fault.
Side Note: For those that do not know what a VHD is, it is a Virtual Hard Drive that contains a separate OS from what is booted with. I use them to keep my development software off my main machine.
This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-406E2K Powerline AV500 Nano Adapter Kit, up to 500 Mbps
Pros: Cheap in comparison to the other Powerline adapters. Picked up two sets for the same price as the other brands. Worked great until....
Cons: ... I went to upgrade the firmware. Firmware version on the devices are 184.108.40.2067-01 (listed on the device). Went to upgrade to 1.0.0-06 which is the fix for the sleep mode. Out of the four devices, only one still works. The warning on TrendNet's web site should say "3 out of 4 devices will fail after firmware upgrade", not "Firmware upgrade failure may permanently damage the unit and cause it to malfunction."
There is a problem with the microwave interfering with the device, which it should not. I could understand if it was a wireless signal, not a wired.
There is a degradation in the signal quality when under heavy sustained traffic (ie: gaming, streaming audio and flash games on a separate system).
Other Thoughts: As I still have one unit, will purchase another set so that I do not have to use wireless.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great keyboard for me as I am a programmer. Wife loves it. I like the fact you can buy these in a 5-pack as I have 4 kids.
Cons: Do NOT spill anything on these keyboards. In 2 yrs, I have gone through 5 of these keyboards. My old Microsoft Natural keyboard took a lot of abuse over 9 yrs, I would take it apart, clean it, and then put it back together, and it would work. Not these. If you spill any liquid on these, might as well chuck the keyboard.
Other Thoughts: Interestingly enough, every time liquid was spilled on the keyboards, it was by the Numerical Keypad, and that Enter key would no longer work, as well as the Z, X and B keys. All other keys worked fine. This happened on 3 of the 5 keyboards.READ FULL REVIEW
