This review is from: Tenda W1801R Wireless AC1750 Dual Band Gigabit Router, Access Point, WDS Mode
Pros: Installed Shibby Tomato firmware on day one. It has been running 24/7 ever since.. USB works fine as network printer port (Tomato printing is off by default: make sure bidirectional copying is set off). Speed seems excellent, certainly better than my Asus RT-N12. Atttractive, solid build.
Cons: It won't do my laundry.
Other Thoughts: At $59 this thing is a no-brainer. It replaced a Netgear R6300 with DD-WRT, which is may overcomplicated for most users and not as fast or reliable as this router.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: WD 4TB My Book Desktop External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBFJK0040HBK-NESN
Other Thoughts: Lasted six weeks, now fails Data Lifeguard Quick Test. These are shockingly poor Newegg ratings, WD. You have some clear quality control issues with this drive. Until you acknowledge and address the defect(s), I can't bring myself to trust my data to your drives again.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cools well and quietly. The metal frame is minimalist, without the excess plastic and aluminum which burden fully enclosed coolers. Wraps around my 15" laptop for traveling, taking up very little extra space. Works well in bed or on sofa as well as lap or table. USB pass-thru.
Cons: USB plug sticks out excessively, could damage laptop port if struck.
Other Thoughts: I'll never buy another big plastic cooler. This cooler takes up little additional room in laptop case. My 15" Asus Q550LF overhangs about 3/4" on both sides. Turned out this laptop runs very cool, so I only use the fans when a game causes its Nvidia video card to kick in. Cooler keeps laptop vents free when used on bed or pillow. Fans are not silent but very quiet. Hopefully this is the future of laptop cooler design.READ FULL REVIEW
