Pros: Fast, runs cool, maxes out all current games.
Lower power consumption than comparable nVidia cards.
Nice aluminum cooler.
Cons: Price. Not the price now but when I bought it I spent almost $100 more than what is going for now.
One of the fans will make a clicking noise for about 5 minutes after boot. If you press on the center of the fan it stops. I think it is a loose bearing but I am going to setup water cooling soon so i don't care too much.
Other Thoughts: Overclocks nicely. I have the clock speeds as far as CCC will allow which is 1125/1575. I set it at these values the day I got it and now almost 4 months later has not had one issue. Ran it for 48 hours using OCCT gpu stress and it only got to 79c with the fans set at 80%.
It will run BF, COD, D3, BLR, Skyrim, Dirt Showdown, and pretty much any modern game on ultra @ 5760x1080 all day long with playable framerates.
I would like to get another and see how they perform in crossfire.
This review is from: ZyXEL GS1100-24 10/100/1000Mbps 24-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Switch
Pros: This switch really surprised me. I was not expecting a 24 port gig switch for under $100 to perform as well as it has.
There is no fan, it is silent.
Standard power plug. This may seem trivial but some other brands of switches use power bricks which are annoying at best and are sometimes a pain to find replacements a couple years later.
Cons: There is no fan. The switch does not get very hot but I do wonder about longevity.
Other Thoughts: I have 12 devices connected to this switch so far. I decided to test the switch and copied a 400GB image file between 10 of the computers. Even with 10 ports running at the full 1000Mbps, i noticed no lag or slowdown when browsing the internet or network. I would like to get all ports filled and do the same test to see if it can really handle the throughput like it says it can.
It has been running for about 7 weeks now and has not needed a restart or power cycle yet.
I have been very impressed with this switch so far. I may pick up one of ZyXEL's managed switches and see if I have the same results. I think this brand would be able to give some of the bigger names a run for its money if they would get a better warranty. 2yrs is nothing when Dell and Netgear Pro offer lifetime.
Pros: Easy to install, gets at least advertised speeds, saves $7 a month.
Cons: None at all. Comcast tech called in the MAC and about 10 minutes later I was online.
Other Thoughts: If only Comcast was as reliable, fast, and worked as well as the equipment attached to it.READ FULL REVIEW
