Pros: They have good bass.
The build is pretty decent for the price, and the earpads are pretty comfortable for over-the-ear headphones.
They work pretty well for phone calls. The mic in them seems pretty decent, people have no trouble hearing me.
Cons: When using bluetooth with music (A2DP), the volume is way too loud! The very lowest setting is too soft, but the second step is way too loud, painful in fact. So there's no way to adjust the volume to be a comfortable level. Very disappointed as I bought them primarily for listening to music, and the only way I could possibly use them is with a set of earplugs in to tone down the volume which just isn't realistic. The volume on the headphones should be independent of the source volume which would fix this, but it's not.
Other Thoughts: I would never recommend this to anyone planning to use them for the bluetooth music functionality. If you only care about using them for phone calls or for the wired headset functionality, then they sound pretty good.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: HooToo® HT-UH007 USB 3.0 HUB (4 Port, Bus-Powered, Built-in 1ft USB 3.0 Cable)
Pros: Seems to work with Mac OSX.
Cons: Does not work with current (3.2 series) kernels on USB 3 ports. The kernel seems to be unable to enumerate the devices on the hub, and it goes into a continual enumerate, fail, reset loop.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Decent amount of storage (if you actually got the advertised price).
Cons: Another Hitachi rebate scam, declined when fully valid.
If you're buying it for the rebate price, don't. You probably won't ever get your rebate.
Other Thoughts: After my rebate was declined I went back and read some of the reviews, and see lots of people had the same problem.
I don't really blame Newegg too much for Hitachi's bad behavior, but they shouldn't advertise the price after rebate with a vendor that has such a poor track record.
I decided to give Hitachi another try after a long time avoiding them because of the Deathstar disk issues years ago. But after this rebate nonsense, I guess I'll be continuing to avoid them. I don't like dealing with fraudsters. I don't know why someone hasn't filed a class-action suit against them.
