Pros: Enclosure is small, although not the smallest I have used, and simple to put together. Data transfer speeds are pretty good, much better than my USB 2.0 enclosure.
Cons: The included cable is short and not ver flexible, bad combo. The cord also does not fit tightly into the enclosure. I have bumped it a couple times causing the drive to suddenly shut off. Also the screw that holds the enclosure together is made of soft metal so be careful not to strip it.
Other Thoughts: It is hard to see in the pictures but this enclosures on-board controller is only SATA 2. This means that speeds will top out at 3Gb/s not 5Gb/s as advertised. In order to reach USB 3.0 top speeds the controller needs to be upgraded by the manufacturer to SATA 3 (6Gb/s). In reality this means absolutely nothing meaningful because actual speeds will be well below those marks and all SATA connectors are compatible. However, it is worth pointing out for those that are planning on keeping this drive for awhile or using it with SSDs (most of which are SATA 3).READ FULL REVIEW
