LG Black 8X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 40X CD-ROM SATA Internal Combo LG Blu-ray Reader & 16X LightScribe DVD±R DVD Burner
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Hey guys, this is a great drive for what it does, reading blu ray's and DVD's.

Cons: First off this thing is LOUD!!! I haven't heard a drive this loud in 4 years. There's also a lot of fluff with the software required to run blu rays.

4 out of 5 eggs SATA ports...and more SATA ports 12/03/2009

This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Great Motherboard overall. I'm running 2x GTX 285's and a Creative X-Fi sound card on the PCI express slots, even though it's a tight fit, I have a Antec spot cooler to cool the top graphics card. Just for you guys who want to 3x SLI I would recommend this mobo as long as you have some sort of fan blowing air into the top graphics card. Haven't had an issue with the board minus the SATA ports, look in the con's section.

Cons: When I got this board I expected all 10 of these sata ports to work not just 8. Granted I've been slaving over this issue for the better part of 2 hours figuring out which SATA ports worked. I thought that deserved an egg off so that's why I would give this 4 eggs instead of 5.

LIAN LI PC-B70 Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

4 out of 5 eggs Nice Case 12/03/2009

This review is from: LIAN LI PC-B70 Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is an overall great case, where you have awesome airflow and plenty of room to upgrade with easy tool less hard drive installation. Great build quality too there's only a 1mm between any of the panels everything's a tight fit. The hard drive trays also have rubber between the tray and the case to minimize vibrations, slide out motherboard tray, and a really interesting way of sliding out the side panels. This case was also intended to be very quiet, there is insulation on the side panels to keep the sound down where it would just bounce around in normal aluminum cases and they also include zip tie's and more insulation in the package. Great Service by Lian Li.

Cons: I've had an issue with wire management on this case, hence the egg off. Even as I was cleaning up the wiring on this case I was screaming hell with it. If you do get this case get a modular power supply it will help you out tremendously.
