Pros: high capacity, NAS ready
Cons: Only if it works. DOA twice.
Ordered 1 drive, came in DOA. Ordered a 2nd drive, came in also DOA.
Both made in Malaysia. I have 3 other drives (WD Red 3 TB) made in
Thailand, two without problems, 1 has bad block (failed smart long test).
Other Thoughts: WD need better QA/QC before shipping these out. Or someway to track
shipment conditions, in case excessive shocks or environment is killing
these drives en route.
Pros: it actually fits my stem...worked well for one ride so far.
Cons: no easy access to buttons.
Other Thoughts: Now I need an extra battery pack to run the phone
with GPS and a bluetooth earpiece that really handle
wind noise and road bumps.
Pros: cheap, big, nice for big raid volumes
Cons: bought 2, one died on format, now in RMA.
Hangs vista format when Intel Matrix manager
drops one of these drives from raid 5. Had to
cancel the format, delete the volume to find out
what happened to the drive.
Other Thoughts: have 3 more drives from earlier order, those are running fine.
looks like quality is dropping fast...I wonder if seagate is recycling
