This review is from: Samsung UN55JS7000 55" Class 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV
Pros: Newegg Customer Service is great. They are currently reviewing the pics of my claim, and hopefully there are no issues with replacement.
Cons: I went with Newegg rather than Best Buy on Black Friday for the same deal, because Newegg was always great to work with in the past. Aside from opening the box and plugging it in only to find the LED panel was a spider web of cracks, the delivery through AIT (the 3rd party company that was supplying the TV) was extremely inconvenient. They only offered delivery times between 9-5pm M-F with no late delivery options or weekend options, not even for an extra fee. I even offered to go to their warehouse to pick it up myself, which was not an option. Ended up having to take off work because of the wide delivery window of 4hrs. So lost a days worth of work to get a broken TV, pretty awesome.
Other Thoughts: Once I actually get to review the TV, I'll throw up a different rating.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: WD 1TB Elements Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBUZG0010BBK-NESN
Pros: This device is a no brainer. It comes equipped to function on Windows OS and can easily be reformatted into exFAT from the start to be used on Windows OS and Mac OS, which is what I did. Data transfer is fast.
Cons: I bought 2 of these drives because I have had pretty consistent bad luck with every USB external drive I've purchased from WD, Seagate, and the like in that at least 1 will fail pretty early in its anticipated lifespan. Such was the case with one of my drives. I purposely copied 800GB of data to 2 of these drives, fully expecting one of them to not last very long, and sure enough 1 of my drives died after 26days.
Other Thoughts: My recommendations
1. If you want a primary source to back up to, buy 2 of these drives and mirror the data on the 2 drives.
2. If you want to just use this drive to transfer large packets of information from one source to another, just get 1 drive, but don't expect it last you very long. This drive does not seem to be able to handle high frequency use for moving information from one source to another.
