Pros: it was cheap
Cons: it was loud & vibrate violently while it was working. now that it does not work anymore, it is still loud, vibrate less, but still more than a corpse.
Other Thoughts: do not waste your money buying these so called "refurbished" drives. they are really not. more like guaranteed to fail in less than 6 months. luckily mine died before the warranty period run our! whew....READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: HD arrived quickly and both the power on count and power on hours has been reset to less than 10, given the test done in its refurb process.
Cons: based on Crystal Disk Info's reporting, this drive is only rated at 1.5 Gbit/s and not 6.0 Gbit/s as listed, to qualify as a SATA III drive.
Other Thoughts: it came with multi layers of hardened dust along the SATA connector end. Looks like refurbishing for this vendor does not include the decency getting it cleaned. VERY DISAPPOINTED with this purchase!!!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: contrary to other reviews here, both the SATA interface connector & USB are reasonably solid but will still break when handled like a banana by excitable gorilla. transfer speeds are decently within USB3.0 specs, & works just fine with USB2.0.
bulky AC adapter ensures adequate juice for 3.5" larger drives.
Cons: does not show the kind of drive connected in USB2.0 environment - instead displays the useless syba chipset model.
over-priced for what it delivers.
Other Thoughts: base of SATA connector housing is not flat - inclined at around 15 degrees.
USB cable is not detachable
