Stability. Continually provides expected voltages.
Other Thoughts: I've used a number of these when building multipurpose and workstation PC's (both AMD & intel. They always run quiet, cool and up to specs.READ FULL REVIEW
Thin and flexible making them easy to route.
Cons: None noted.
Other Thoughts: These are not being used in an RF noisy environment so not able to comment on whether the smaller cable diameter equates to sub-par shielding. I'm 100% satisfied with the cable quality and quick shipping.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SAMSUNG D3 Station 4TB USB 3.0 3.5" Desktop External Hard Drive STSHX-D401TDB Black
Pros: Case styling is very good in that it has a wide footprint making it quite stable and not easily knocked over. Although a low RPM drive I still see file transfer speeds between 98-120MB/s for files of 50MB or more in size. Relatively quiet while in operation.
Great Newegg sale price and quick shipping as usual.
Cons: Case cooling vents are ample on the intake side but a little lacking on the exhaust. USB cable is a somewhat short 2'.
Other Thoughts: While not a perfect product I am very satisfied with this purchase. It is used for storage purposes and will be written to only a few times a week.
*** I'd highly recommend (as I do for all standard 3.5" in external enclosures) that if you are performing an initial bulk transfer of data that a small fan be placed in such a way to facilitate forced ventilation of the enclosed drive. It is difficult for any drive to dissipate heat without active cooling and this becomes even more important for HD's in a passive enclosure. Remember, heat is enemy #1 of HD's.
