This review is from: Polk Audio PSW Series PSW505 12" Powered Subwoofer Single
Pros: This little 12" sub replaced a 15" AudioSource from Costco 15 years ago. Why? mostly because I've been slowly replacing all the speakers of the home theater system with polk products after I was so impressed with the first set of towers. The sub was the last remaining speaker and I've been thinking about it for a year. Then newegg threw it on sale for an unbelievable $149. I was hooked.
It showed up on my doorstep in a pristine box - unmolested by abusive handlers. I open it up - guess what, the grill was broken. All these reviews, year after year of broken grills. Wow. The lack of effort to address the problem is stunning. The packaging engineer should be fired. Maybe he already is - and they can't afford a new one....
So I call Polk. No flack, just the serial # and a new one is in the mail. Showed up in three days. No egg lost. But for goodness sake man - fix the packaging!
How does it work: The old sub was boomy with a much higher efficiency at 50 hz than the rest of the sprectum. The polk has a much deeper range and volume - even with it's smaller package size. There are still volume fluctuations as you listen to the testing videos on you tube - but that could also be the human sensitivity as well. The bass is deep and powerful. It's easy to install - just plug to the wall and one to the amp. It really does work well...there's a reason for all these positive reviews.

Pros: Price, i5 chip.
Cons: nothing really. Not a big fan of Windows 8, but it's not their fault.
Other Thoughts: This is the 2nd acer low end laptop I've bought. I picked it up for my daughter and took her old one. Tossed in a cheap SSD and WOW.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The monitor works flawlessly. They come too bright, but that's easily adjusted. I bought two for a dual monitor setup when they were on sale. They replaced a single Dell which died after 9 years of use.
1. They work.
2. no dead pixels
3. the bezel is thin
4. they don't weigh much
5. they use very little power
6. color reproduction is reasonable.
Cons: The base is lousy. Not particularly adjustable - just tilt angle. I bought a dual stand because the monitors were too low for my application
Other Thoughts: Great for the price.READ FULL REVIEW
