Pros: Copying files from Wi-Fi to wired server/NAS is 200-300mbps (using USB3 EDIMAX AC1200 Wi-Fi NIC). Easy to set up. Coverage is quite wide. USB3 and eSATA are pretty quick.
Cons: Price is a bit high. The unit is a bit bulky. Some of the advanced Wi-Fi settings I had with the Asus are missing (i.e. bandwidth 20 or 20/40 or 40 on the Asus is now just 40 or auto on the Linksys)
Other Thoughts: Despite the minor grievances, I HIGHLY recommend this unit for those hoping to maximize their Wi-Fi capabilities. I frequently have to move large amounts of data from Wi-Fi to a NAS server, and this router has cut the time down DRAMATICALLY!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS USB 3.0 12X Blu-ray Burner Model BW-12D1S-U/BLK/G/AS
Pros: Burns all my media error free - CD, DVD & BD - and looks great doing it. Reasonably quiet as well.
Cons: Kinda big, but using the vertical stand helps with that.
Other Thoughts: USB3.0 really makes this drive possible. If you use it on USB2, you obviously won't reach the drive's full speed potential (and why would you do that anyway?!)READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Patriot Supersonic Magnum 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model PEF64GSMNUSB
Pros: This is my second drive.
Fast on both USB2 (easily max speed every time) & USB3.
Getting 110MB/s write & 220MB/s read throughput with writes varying from 128k to 8MB overlapped using ATTO Disk Benchmark.
Price has come down considerably since my previous purchase.
Cons: With the FULL and latest NEC / RENESAS USB 3.0 Host Controller drivers on my Vaio F-Series laptop (see station-drivers.com), I am finally able to get the unit recognized as USB3, but not without having to unplug/replug a few times. But I suspect this has more to do with NEC / RENESAS or Sony's implementation.
Wide - blocks other ports unless you use a usb3 cable.
Cap not integrated, and cap has no eyelet for lanyard attaching to body, so can get lost easily.
Other Thoughts: I gave it a poor rating before when I could not get USB3 connection (always usb2) on my Sony Vaio F-series laptop, but that seems to be fixed now w/latest drivers, albeit not perfect. Speed is incredible - better than most mechanical HD!READ FULL REVIEW
