This review is from: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm Case Fan
Pros: Packaging was top noth, included extra fan cable splitters were very useful.
As far as temps themselves i had been using a corsair H100 with the stock fans, the temps are just about the same but with lower noise level which is what i had hopped for . are they silent. NO..but the drop in noise is justifiable for the price and build quality.
For my build i had to put the 2 H100 fans on top of the case..sitting exterior so the noise had no insulation.
Cons: I would say none, been using for aprox 2 weeks of heavy gaming and web editing use on my case.
I had hoped for a bit more of a temp drop using this over stock fan on accelo gpu all in one loop.
Other Thoughts: Extra's in package are 1 into 2 fan connector, fan cable length extension cable, and noise reduction cable (which would lower the voltage i assume)
If these hold up there worth it.
Update 1 month of ownership, still running great and keeping my rig nice and cool, one thing i noticed helped improve my cpu temps was putting a 120mm fan at front of my case but inside where there are the cd/dvd slots, i think there are 2 spare slots available and this feeds right into my h100, so even lower temps for me now!
Pros: Works, runs cool, system is running at 800 (dual channel) so its right at 1600mhz!! no overclocking on my MSI Z68MA-ED55 board either.
Cons: non - heatspreaders create a slightly larger height clearance, measure your rig / cpu fan to make sure it'll fit.
Other Thoughts: Haven't tried to OC yet. Not really necesary for ram as effects are very minimal for an i5, like I use.. BD might be onto something with its use of memory but too early to tell. So this rocks for current tech, and price was 30 w/ free shipping !! I bought 2 for the win
Update this ram has served me well for the past 4 1/2 years, i even upgraded to 16gb right after this review.
With new benchmarks coming out for gaming and ram frequencies, i've decided to upgrade my ram to my systems max capabilities and will be going with 2133hz speed, 16gb of it too.
Pros: I got this for 15 dollars, it worked for 2 years ( 1 and 1/2 of heavy use)
Cons: not wireless, for 15 dollars you can get one w/ same buttons on side + wireless
Other Thoughts: Went wireless after this one no longer worked Same price and same button set-up from a electronic store.READ FULL REVIEW
