This review is from: BIOSTAR Hi-Fi H81S2 LGA 1150 Intel H81 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Bought this board when the ASrock mining board was out of stock. I was a little worried, as I've never purchased a Biostar board (Usually stick with higher end brands).
I'm impressed, I paired it with a dual-core Pentium processor and 6x 79XX radeon cards and windows 7 64bit.
Runs solid , with no special configuration windows detected all 6 cards (though two with yellow errors). After adding the custom 13.21 driver (google search it), everything is solid!
Only issue I've noticed is the usb3 driver on biostar's site doesn't seem to want to install. I haven't spent to much time trying as Its not a big issue for now.
6- Pci-e slots
Cons: Now out of stock?
Other Thoughts: Running with 6x79xx series cards, two-1000 watt power supplies.
5 - 1x usb3 (powered) risers
1 - 16x ribbon (non powered) riser.
No dummy plugs.
Pros: Solid quiet power supply, 1000w is a piece of cake for this thing!
Easily runs my mining machines (4x7950) without getting warm at all.
Cons: Don't really find this as a con, the cables are thick and sometimes cumbersome (they are flat cables). I like them, they are heavy duty and work well.
The only complaint is the atx m/b connector does not seat 100% in my motherboard (msi). it's like 95% seating. Not really a issue, just a tight fit.
Other Thoughts: Powers 4x 7950's(900 watts at the wall) without an issue. Heck the hybrid fan barely turns on @ 600watts , it runs so cool.
I own two of these, will most likey buy another if i expand my setup.
