Lenovo Y50 (59418222) Gaming Laptop 4th Generation Intel Core i5 4200H (2.80 GHz) 8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD 8 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2 GB 15.6

Pros: The y50 is a pure gaming laptop with few flaws which are unbeatable at this price range. Gaming wise it can run literally ANY game you throw at it with a smooth fps from high to max settings!

The keyboard is the best i have used, granted I come from a desktop pc, but the keyboard is on par with apples chicklet style which in my opinion is fantastic. WIth the screen being 15'6 there is enough room for a number pad to be compactly incorporated into the design. Also, it has a RED backlit keys. They look so awesome at night!

Another Definite pro would be its impressively slim and lightweihgt design which certainly pack a punch for what it weighs. It also stays very cool when gaming on a flat surface , cpu temps rarely go over 70c when running extremely intesnsive games for a long time.!

The last pro might be a bit odd to some but, many people do not take into consideration this model of the y50 simply because it has an i5 processor instead of an i7. The common misconception here is that the i7 brings better performance in games, the fact is that this performance boost is almost unnociteable due to the fact that pc games rarely use more than 2 cpu cores and not the 4 which the i7 contains. The only benefit the i7 has is that it does have a significant performance boost when running multiple applications at once, but if your only using for gaming and your usual web surfing as well as powerpoint, excel, word, etc. The i5 will be more than enough and hey, if it saves you 150$ then it is even more of a steal

Cons: One con that really bugs me here is the display, altouh it is a full HD dislay with antiglare, it is not very good . he colors are its disapointment because they all seem to mesh together and the vividness of the color never seem to pop. This is avoidable by simply hooking up this gaming beast to a HD tv though the hdmi port , which i inteded to do since the begining.

The battery life is also a bit of a disapointment averaging about 3 hours on a charge. You can aid this however using battery management software which i have managed to get the full 5 or even six hours as originally advertised.

Other Thoughts: GREAT laptop for the price! if your looking into a gaming powerhouse with a slim profile and a budget this laptop is a must buy. It even rivals the 3x as expensive razerblade laptops
