SeaSonic Platinum Series SS-400FL2 Active PFC F3 400W ATX12V Fanless 80 PLUS Platinum Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Not much

Cons: One of the connectors broke
seasonic never responded to any emails
occasionally makes high pitch noise

Other Thoughts: Bought this a few months ago. When installing it, one of the sata connectors, (none of which fit well with any of my devices) broke. The plastic edge came off because it didn't fit quite right. None of my other PSUs have had this problem. I attempted to contact season through their website multiple times, they never even responded.
Also, while it is completely silent most of the time, it will occasionally start making a high pitch noise for about an hour or two.

Fellowes 9893301 Silver/Black 104 Normal Keys 11 Function Keys USB Wired Standard Microban Multi Media Keyboard
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: lots of media keys

Cons: it has "microban" in it, which is a marketing buzzword for products that contain cancer-causing body-accumulating triclosan in it, so it might not be the best keyboard to buy. Search for "microban dangers" if you want more information on the substance.

ZOTAC GeForce GT 240 DirectX 10.1 ZT-20404-20L 1GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: Idles at ~40C, and with load goes up to 70. My previous fanless card, a 7950, went up to 95C, and this one is still faster than it, so this is definitely an improvement. There is one slow rpm system fan mounted in the back of my case. Because of the way the heatsink on this card is designed (it takes up a separate case card slot for the exhaust), I might be able to increase airflow for it by switching the fan to the front of the case.

Cons: 70C is still a bit warm, but as long as it works...

Other Thoughts: Since it is not mentioned anywhere on the details page, I contacted their support to find out that this card draws about 30W at idle and just over 60 on load. This version does not have sli support, although there is another identical model by the same manufacturer that does sli out there.
