This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: Free fans, quite large and with blue LEDs which just look sweet.
Tons of well-placed cable management holes and tie-down points.
Plastic parts are sturdy. Everything has a satisfying click when it snaps into place.
Angled top means I can't set stuff on top of it.
Dedicated fan controller.
Dead silent when fans are set to low. If it weren't for the blue lights I wouldn't have known it was working. Still very quiet at high.
The price for the features can't be beat, especially when it looks this nice.
Cons: Couldn't install my aftermarket cooler. The window to the back of the motherboard was too far over, so two of the screw holes were blocked. If you have a cooling solution that requires a back panel installation be careful with the measurements. Maybe the window lines up with a full-size ATX board?
The metal and the plastic parts are SLIGHTLY different shades. Others complained about it but with the one I got it's only noticeable in certain light, hardly worth mentioning.
The rubber things do come off easily like some have said, though not as bad as I feared. If you can hold them down while you push the cables through it shouldn't be an issue.
Hard drive rails are a bit weird to put on the drive at first. Again, hardly worth mentioning.
No PC speaker? I guess I don't need it but having no post beeps bothers me the tiniest bit. Not worth taking an egg for.
Other Thoughts: I haven't built a PC from scratch in maybe 10 years. And it was 3 years since I upgraded my last rig.
So maybe cases are just like this now, but this thing was so easy to work with I could hardly believe it. Cases are often about trade-offs but for me there were no downsides to this one. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone even thinking about getting one, or to anyone who is doing a new build.
Pros: So far so good. Huge upgrade from my smaller 150GB drive with my OS on it.
It's a 1TB hard drive. It worked when I got it. What more is there to say?
Cons: None that I can think of.
Other Thoughts: Haven't bought a hard drive in a few years so maybe they're all like this now but this drive is extremely quiet. When I first plugged it in I couldn't even tell if it was on without putting my hand on it.READ FULL REVIEW
