great cage nuts
Pros: The nuts are just flexible enough to get them in easily with your bare hands without hurting yourself -- far better than any others I've used. The bolts are strong and solid, easy to get in and out without stripping the heads. I just really can't complaint at all. I've used a half a dozen kinds of cage nuts, these are the best.
Cons: none
proprietary, useless
Pros: cheap
Cons: fans don't use standard headers, front panel buttons / lights don't use standard connectors, doesn't come with rack rails or ears, so can't mount it. The whole thing is proprietary so good luck trying to use it with just a standard motherboard.
Works great, very happy
Pros: 24 outlets, much more than in most products of this type, remote power cycling over ethernet is fantastic, comes with all the cables and adapters you might need. For the price, this performs just as well and is far cheaper than other good alternatives. Very happy with this
Cons: Web interface is a little slow? Not really a big problem.
Overall Review: mperkel's comment regarding the power ratings is way off base. It is national electrical code that all devices are supposed to be run at a continual load no more than 80% of their rated capacity. There's nothing TrippLite has done wrong here, that's simply the law. You'll find that every other electrical product out there rated for X capacity is intended to be used with a continual load no greater than 80% of X.
Badly made, can trick it to work
Pros: Cheap, small.
Cons: I bought 10 of these, none worked as you would expect them to, but I was able to get them working. When you insert your card into the riser, it will usually work if you don't insert it all the way in. If you leave a bit of a gap, so the metal of the pins on your card are showing, it might work, but you have to get it exact. Sometimes even then will only work on one of the pci slots and not the other. If you insert your card all the way (as a normal human being would do), it almost certainly will not work. Maybe it's some kind of short circuit issue.
doesn't work as intended
Pros: long, cheap
Cons: doesn't work as a dual link dvi cable. only resolution that was supported on my 30" dell was 800*600. the rated maximum resolution for the cable doesn't work, as well as the resolution i wanted to use (2560*1600). Just shows a weird pattern on the screen. Another brand of cable I got a while back worked great but isn't sold anymore.
Great performance, cooling insufficient
Pros: Great performing graphics card. Everything looks great, good framerates, dual dvi, etc etc.
Cons: Expect to spend $50 getting a decent cooler for this. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835109136&ATT=35-109-136&CMP=OTC-Froogle) Cooling solution is totally underpowered for the card. I run at stock speeds, with plenty of fans in the case. After 20 minutes of gaming, video starts to tear, and shortly after the system locks up. A giant box fan in the side of my case solved the issue. Riva tuner told me it was running around 70 degrees celcius under load, 60 idle, at stock speeds. EVGA.com's message boards are full of users complaining about overheating issues.
Overall Review: It's clear why this costs less than identical looking cards from other manufacturers. The gpu creates a LOT of heat, and this manufacturer skimped on cooling, which is essential. I would rate 5 star if it didn't crash under load. Therefore rating it 2 star.
