Pros: Excellent bang for the buck, nothing even comes close at its price point. Hands down. Great multiprocessor.
Cons: Heat sink is only barely adequate for stock speeds. Fairly low stock clock speed. See below.
Other Thoughts: Put this beast in a motherboard that will support easy overclocking. get a better heatsink / fan assembly and mildly overclock to 4000 / 4200 mhz. I'm using a Zalman 9500 with very good results. That speed makes this CPU sing whatever song you want.
Teamed up with a decent motherboard, mild overclocking and a SSD, it's very hard to beat for a general use computer.
Pros: Nice layout, SATA 6gb, USB 3.0.
Cons: One of the memory slots (the "B" slot) was DOA.
Other Thoughts: I built the system using a FX-6300. Booted on 1 x 2Gb memory stick to check the board. Was reasonably fast using a SSD. Drivers loaded smoothly from the accompanying DVD. Good documentation manual. No glitches except for the DOA memory slot. RMA'ed back to Newegg without any delay. Board currently in transit back to Newegg for exchange for another identical board (fully working, I hope), not refund.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SAMSUNG 840 Series 2.5" 250GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7TD250BW
Pros: Fast when it worked.
Cons: Died in just under a year. Locked up computer / won't POST.
Other Thoughts: After registering the failed unit, ALL of the Samsung support functions stopped working, the screen just froze every time I attempted to contact service or send an email for support.
The warranty is useless if you can't contact the manufacturer for service or warranty support.
The Samsung support for SSD seems to be separate from the rest of the Samsung products. Can't even chat with a rep. Speaks poorly of how Samsung feels toward their SSDs.
