This review is from: ZALMAN FX70 Fanless CPU Cooler
Pros: -Looks good
-Performs well for what it is
Cons: -Mounting on AMD sockets does not seem very well thought out
-Mounting in general is inferior to most hsf setups I've used in well over 10+ years.
-Only consider if you want passive, or have some serious exhaust fans close by
Other Thoughts: I have this on an A10-7850K, all stock settings (95w tdp), but no fans. It is out in the open no case or anything, zero fans anywhere in the room. Under these conditions is does get hot, idles around 40c and I've seen it up to 73c, but this is all passive cooling so I'm ok with those numbers. I mostly do desktop stuff on it so it doesn't see hardcore gaming... It does have clips for a fan, but if you need fans I would go with another cooler, ANY other cooler!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Low power, cheap, AMD... Plays 1080p video just fine in win 8.1. Great low power media box, hopefully it will have better Linux support in the future.
Cons: A bit flimsy, the serial port can easily be moved back and forth, I would not use it... It is more difficult to get into bios than most boards I've used. 1 star knocked for cheap construction.
Other Thoughts: I originally got this for use with a Linux file server, but I gave up on that. Way to much hassle for this board. Not really a problem on the behalf of ECS, more of an issue with AMD. Even win 8.1 could not detect any of the hardware correctly. Again not the fault of ECS. Overall a decent buy for $50 assuming I get my rebate eventually...READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Tek Republic TUH-2700 USB 2.0 7 Port Hub with Power Adapter
Cons: Computer will not boot with this plugged in part of the time. Win7 does not recognize it unless you unplug it and plug it back in. Even then it's shaky at best. Linux doesn't work with it either.
Other Thoughts: Avoid like the plague!READ FULL REVIEW
