Pros: - Extremely fast - OC'd stable to 1200 on stock volts
- Cool - ACX cooler kept card at max of 66º while OC'd and under load
- Quiet - Barely audible over case fans.
- B1 stepping! - Same stepping as new GHZ version.
- Built solid - ACX cooler well built and base plate/memory heatspreader is very sturdy. Adds strength to PCB
Cons: - No backplate even though card is SC edition - No Eggs lost.
Other Thoughts: Holiday bundle made the purchase well worth it.
Only issue was Batman AO code was already claimed. Took NV rep 45 minutes to issue new code and would only supply the new code after presenting a copy of the original coupon and invoice. Might cause issues if you attempt to sell unused game code(s).
Pros: Cools the GK110-300 extremely well. Card is currently OC'd to 1250 on stock volts and temp never goes above 48º in Furmark or games. Idle temps hover between 24-26º.
Very cool and almost silent.
Cons: Can be challenging or awkward to install if doing it alone or a novice.
Other Thoughts: Moved Hybrid from GTX 680 with Artic heatsinks to the new 780. Zero issues moving to new PCB. Fan is setup for intake.
Used the ACX base plate which works as large heatsink for memory. Minor cutting of base plate needed.
ACX cooler is great but needed extra cooling for increase voltage. ACX cooler hovered around 66º at 1200MHZ.
Worth every penny if you need extra cooling but don't want to build a true loop.
This review is from: Corsair Obsidian Series 550D Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: This case replaced by previous CM 600. Install and wire management was a breeze. Plenty of room for Antec 620 (push/pull) in aft 120mm slot and Accelero Hybrid rad on top of lower HDD cage in upper front 120mm bay.
Case has great airflow and is pretty quiet with 8 120mm fans (Cougar & Corsair SP120).
Cons: Storage of panel used to cover front 120mm bay and upper 120 mm bay.
Only 3 HDD/SSD's can be installed with 1 HDD cage removed. Need to pick up 5 1/4 install kit for 4th drive.
