This review is from: D-Link DGS-108 Unmanaged 8-Port Gigabit Switch
Pros: It's an unmanaged switch so it's just about like buying a cable.... it either works or it doesn't.
Well, this one does. I like the light layout on the ports:
The ports are on the same side as the cables which makes troubleshooting easy.
The metal case is excellent, rugged and I just like it a lot more than the cheap feeling plastic cases that cover most non-enterprise networking devices.
I am currently using it to expand my network from a TP-Link Archer C7 Router. It is connected with the following:
WHS 2011 Home Server
Win 7 Pro Desktop
Raspberry Pi running OpenELEC version of Frodo 12.2
DirecTV Broadband DECA adapter
All work well at their rated speeds
Cons: None that I have seen, yetREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Popped it into the PCIx slot of my motherboard and attached my 4 data drives to it. Booted into WHS 2011 and the drivers installed automatically. Rebooted and everything popped up the way it should.
Cons: None, although I didn't really try to utilize any features other than adding 4 more SATA ports to my Server.READ FULL REVIEW
