Pros: - Super cool. I've never experienced temperatures this low. I've never had the temperature ever go higher than 37C even during extended gaming. It idols at 30C or so. I keep the room at around 26-27C. That is amazing.
- Great software.
Cons: - Instructions were not as fun as they could have been, but good enough to get the job done.
Other Thoughts: Installed in a Corsair Carbide Series Air 540. Zero issues mounting the radiator. Motherboard was a GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 3 (rev. 1.0) with an Intel Core i7-6700K. The back plate supplied with the H115i fit great and the included equipment was sufficient to get the job done. I did remove the thermal compound included on the H115i and opted for Tuniq TX-4 thermal compound. I have two profiles setup in the Corsair Link software; one, for normal work loads, and one for games where I turn up the pump speed to max and leave the fans on normal. I run Windows 10 and have installed the latest Corsair Link.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SAMSUNG 840 EVO 2.5" 750GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7TE750BW
Pros: Two big pros:
1) The drive is amazingly fast. My system gets to the system login screen in a screaming 8 seconds. Then after entering the password and hitting enter, the system and all the "run-at-login" software is running in 3 seconds there after. AMAZING!!!
2) The cloning software is very clean and the system took the cloned disk was seamless. My cloning took a total of and hour and thirty-three minutes to copy 287 GB of data.
** I'll be purchasing another drive for each of my other systems **
Cons: None thus far.
Other Thoughts: I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y580, and the transfer for the cloning was done using a Kingwin ADP-07U3 (SATA III to USB 3.0 adapter, which was not up to the USB spec).READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: KINGWIN ADP-07U3 USB 3.0 to SSD & SATA Adapter
Pros: Product seats well into SATA 2.5" drive and has a solid connection, likewise the USB 3.0 cable is solid and while slightly inflexible it does operate as intended.
Cons: Definitely not USB 3.0. It does run at a full USB 2.0, but no chance USB 3 even when accounting for connections and overhead on single connected device.
Other Thoughts: I had read the reviews ahead of the purchase, and this is a great price for my use, cloning a HDD to SSD.READ FULL REVIEW
