This review is from: Cuisinart SS-300 Single Serve Coffee Maker, Silver
Pros: It works, kinda. Small footprint. Neat looking and Cuisinart. "Filters" water. See other thoughts.
Cons: Measured temp, only comes out at 180 degrees hottest. My Bunn comes out towards 200 for drip coffee. Was not impressed with wait time on each serving - you have to plug it in, fill the water to the mark you want, open the head unit and wait for water to drain through filter*, then wait about 2 minutes for it to heat up while making a weird whirring noise. A few times it didn't spit out the water and just sat there. Those times I had to unplug it and try again, where it heats the already-heated water again.
Other Thoughts: *Filter - Carbon filter, much like I have seen in some coffee makers. Instead of filtering through it, there are large gaps to each side of the filter allowing the water to rush around the filter rather than through it. I have never seen 10 oz. of water filter in less than 2 seconds before and wondered why. If you look down on it, there is a 1/16 inch gap all the way around the filter leading directly into the water tank.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: - Well constructed
- Holds charge well*/ NiCad battery
- It blends and is comfortable to use
- Newegg had a great price when I purchased it
*If you read the booklet that comes with, it states to never use over 1 minute without letting it cool 1 minute. Mine operated fine following these instructions.
Cons: - Have to hold down the power button as you operate the blender. Not such a big deal as they have it right where you hold it anyway, but something I had to get used to.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Vantec 2.5"/3.5"/5.25" SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter - Model CB-ISATAU2
Pros: Works great for on the fly connection of a hard drive if you need it.
Cons: The plugin portions for Sata are a little weak and one snapped one of my cords first time removing it (the unit it still working, just got another cable).
Other Thoughts: I don't use this for everyday usage as a eternal hard drive - I use it for pulling info off of a corrupt drive or trying. For on the fly, can't beat it.READ FULL REVIEW
