This review is from: Rosewill Black 15.6" Notebook Cooler with 4 USB2.0 Hubs RLCP-11003B
Pros: The unit is very quiet. The fans are slightly recessed to allow better air flow. The 2 adjustable set type screws also allow you to elevate the back of the laptop for air flow.
Cons: The 5v power cable was not included. The only way to power the fans out of the box is included usb cable. That cable then has to run to the other side of the cooler to plug into the usb hub and the laptop for power. The power switch is very flimsy. When you turn it off and on via the flimsy switch, the whole fan assembly rocks forward and back about half an inch. It's easier to turn it off by unplugging the usb cable from the laptop.
Other Thoughts: I owned the previous model RNA-7600W, and was quite disappointed when using this model. The previous model just feels more sturdy and the switch is a nice solid rocker instead of the little nub that comes with this one. It also included the power cable which this model doesn't.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It's quiet, fast, and has a large capacity. I picked it for price and SATA 3 6Gb/s.
Cons: I initially bought two. One of them works fine and I've had no trouble with it. The other one I could load the OS, but it would just quit responding at random times. The RMA process required me to send it back, have them inspect it, then they shipped another. I used the service through newegg that allowed me to print the UPS label to return the hdd to them. Unfortunately that label was for ground service so it took literally a week to go from South East to the return depot in California. When I received the next replacement drive it was DOA out of the box. I called newegg this time for the RMA to complain and the rep was nice enough to give me the return shipping label for free and upgrade my other shipping for next day. I'm currently waiting for the bad drive to make it's way back across the country.
Other Thoughts: The rep said she'd normally suggest asking for a refund on the one drive and reorder the same drive to make the process faster. However at the time of this writing was when the floods in Thailand caused the HDD prices to soar to over 200% of my original purchase price.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Lots of space for a good price. I picked it up for under eighty shipped. Recognized by Vista clean install off a DVD.
Cons: I installed it in a Dell xps 420, and it's pretty loud. Almost to the point where it can be distracting sometimes.READ FULL REVIEW
