Pros: External braid shielding is very durable-looking & has a great feel. Should stand up to any reasonable wear & tear. Surprisingly light in weight, too!
Connector is solidly made & plating appears to be solidly done. I have a 4K 70" widescreen (recently purchased) & image fed via this cable looks wonderful. Bought 3, just in case! The price is certainly unbeatable, as similar (and shorter) ones cost much, much more. Coils up easy & excess length gathers up w. Velcro tape nicely
Cons: Haven't found any so far.
Other Thoughts: My original plan for my equipment layout changed, or I would have bought shorter cables! (10' would have been better, but I don't think they make that length- ) (sigh).READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Orico DCU3-2P Dual-Port USB 3.0 Hub with 3.3-Ft USB 3.0 Extension Cable (Black)
Pros: Handy to get the port on top of the work-surface for quick & fast file transfers, but I wouldn't look for long, SPEEDY sustained ones. I tested on two machines,
One very new HP Pavillion HPE with native USB 3 ports; I get 70 MB/s write and 180 MB/s read to a USB but using the extension, speed drops to 40 write, 30 read.
On an older HP Pavillion using an add-in card from Startech, with the cable the PC delivers 60 MB/s write, 40 MB/s read. (not too shabby).
So, it can depend on architecture.
Cons: No matter WHAT happens, the speed is always SLOWER than a direct connection to the PC port, though. It's handy, but I expected no performance degradation
Other Thoughts: Would have been nice if the LED did something than just stay "lit", like show, maybe file acess??? something useful to me?READ FULL REVIEW
