Pros: Nice concept and form factor - if it would only work!
Does work when accessed from a laptop, but I can't get it to work from an Android tablet because of some stupid (and most likely incorrect) country restriction.
Cons: When I downloaded the S+ Flash app for Android it redirected me to the Air Drive+ app. When I tried installing that app it told me that it was not available in my country. I live in the US and I bought this product in the US. Why do they sell this here if I can't even use it?
I still have no way of actually using this device because of this problem. If I don't get this fixed soon I will be returning the product.
This review is from: Harman Kardon BDS 7772 5.1-Channel Home Theater Audio System with Blu-ray player
Pros: Great system for the (current) price.
Easy to set up (except for EZ-Set EQ).
Remote is actually usable, unlike those bundled with some other systems.
Low power consumption (30W at moderate volume).
Auto power off when inactive.
Cons: Doesn't remember surround settings for Aux input when powered off. Have to cycle through all settings again to get to the one I want,
EZ-set EQ calibration left my speakers sounding horrible. Had to reset everything to default to get rid of it. But default calibration sounds good.
Other Thoughts: Someone complained about channel routing for stereo not working right. Stereo defaults to front speakers only, if you want surround with Dolby ProLogic you need to press the surround button and select it. Read the manual!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Updated review after using for a few months...
Decent quality video (even at night), adjustable recording loop, unobtrusive (since it's just a rear view mirror), easy to use menu system, long power cable.
I like how the screen comes on for a minute or so when it starts (so you confirm the camera is recording correctly), and then goes off so it doesn't distract you while driving.
All in all makes a great inexpensive car DVR.
Cons: Lights on the buttons stay on all the time and can be annoying. I used black tape to cover them up but it means I can't remember which button is which when I do need to use them. Would have been nice if the light stayed off until you pressed a button (like is common with cellphones).
The IR night vision mode does not have much effect. The tiny IR LEDs can't illuminate much beyond the windshield itself. But as I mentioned before the night time video is pretty good even without the IR, so not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: No idea if the G-sensor really works since I haven't been in a crash yet... Attempts to simulate a sudden shock were inconclusive. I couldn't get the motion detect feature to work (ie record only when moving) but it's not a big deal.
Mirror shakes a bit while driving. Just a tiny bit but kind of annoying when you look at it. I am trying to see if mounting it slightly off will fix that.
