Pros: No idea since I never had a chance to try it.
Cons: No idea since I never had a chance to try it.
Other Thoughts: It wouldn't charge out of the box, giving me a battery error.
Contacting Neato support, I initially got a canned response. Then they offered to send me new batteries, which I was OK with. But then they suddenly decided they needed to replace the whole unit and wanted me to pay return shipping.
Neato obviously has a problem with quality control with their refurbished products, so I was not too keen on paying for their mistakes. Unfortunately they would not budge, so I ended up returning it to Newegg, who had no problem paying for the return shipping.
Yet another reason why I will stick to Newegg and be wary of manufacturers like Neato. They don't understand the value of keeping customers happy (in a reasonable way).
This review is from: ASRock Beebox N3000/B 2 x 204Pin SO-DIMM Mini / Booksize Barebone System
Pros: Low power
Plays 1080p videos flawlessly
Great for a home theater box if paired with an mSata drive
Cons: Don't even consider installing a 2.5" SSD. The manufacturer advises against it, it will block airflow and make it run hotter, and if you are not careful you can pinch the cable (when closing the lid) and short out the motherboard.
Runs hotter in horizontal position. Must keep it vertical for best cooling, but the box itself doesn't have any feet or pads to make that easier.
Other Thoughts: Wireless seems to work but I have no idea how reliable it is. I just don't bother with wireless when I have a wired connection that works well.
If you are wondering about Linux, Mint 17.3 works well. Be sure to do a fresh install of 17.3 though. If you start with 17.1 and upgrade to 17.3 you won't get some of the LTS enhancements to the video driver that are essential for good performance.
Make sure the cpu is in performance mode and not powersave mode.
mplayer has some hiccups but mpv works great, even without the recommended Intel video driver.
Haven't tried the IR yet.
Taking a couple of eggs off for ASRock's terrible support. I bought this with a $30 mail-in rebate, but the rebate form was not accessible at ASRock's web site. My emails to customer support were ignored. Luckily Newegg stepped in and covered the rebate cost. This is why I shop at Newegg, and also why I am less likely to buy any more ASRock products.
Funny how when another reviewer complained about the same thing, ASRock answered asking him to contact them by email. From my experience I woudn't put much hope on going that way.
Pros: Works well. Much better than the old X10 switches I had.
Cons: Odd (12V) battery for remote. Easy to get online though.
Other Thoughts: One of the switches could not be controlled with the remote. I opened an RMA request expecting to have to send back the whole set, but Etekcity immediately sent me a replacement switch without even having to return the defective one. Now that's good service!
Wish these switches could be controlled from a computer or tablet too. X10 switches had that functionality (although they were not very reliable).
