Great Modem for someone looking to ditch the rental fees!

ARRIS SURFboard SB6141 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem
ARRIS SURFboard SB6141 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

Pros: Got this modem at a BB store when it was on sale for $79 about 9 months ago. Brought it home and tried the online setup with Comcast...Fail. Called Comcast and had it up and running in less than ten minutes, and has been running non stop without reset since. Wish my wireless router were as rock solid, but my Asus RT N65U seems to require a reboot about every 90 days or the wireless speeds drop way off. When Comcast raised the rental fee to $8 for a modem here, from the $5 they were charging, I bought my own and couldn't be happier.

Cons: It wasn't free. It doesn't cook my breakfast or start my car on cold mornings.

Overall Review: Some people have success using the online modem registration with Comcast or other ISP's, but it just would not work for me at all, YMMV. A quick call to the ISP and your up and running in no time. This works with the full 100 Meg service offered here and tests at 105 to 108 consistently.

You get what you pay for.

Enermax LIQMAX III 240 RGB, All-in-one CPU Liquid Cooler for AM4 & AM5 / LGA 1700/1200/1151, 240mm Radiator, Dual-Chamber Water Block, RGB Fan - AM5 & LGA1700 Ready
Enermax LIQMAX III 240 RGB, All-in-one CPU Liquid Cooler for AM4 & AM5 / LGA 1700/1200/1151, 240mm Radiator, Dual-Chamber Water Block, RGB Fan - AM5 & LGA1700 Ready

Pros: Cost, it is cheap Easy setup Decent LED setup.

Cons: It is Cheap It lasted less than a year.

Overall Review: I purchased this 12/16/2020 and installed it. I am glad I had the LED color configured to change with the CPU temps from blue to green to yellow to purple then red, because on 11/24 the pump failed. I noticed that less than 20 seconds after power on that the fan LED's were red and staying there, so after verifying that the temp was indeed almost 90C on my I7, I went to a local big box store and bought a Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix on sale for 159. Love the power supplies, and still using a 6 year old 800W gold PSU, but I will pass on the Coolers from now on.

Great card for the money and a decent overclocker as well

EVGA GeForce GTX 970 04G-P4-3975-KR 4GB SSC GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling Graphics Card
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 04G-P4-3975-KR 4GB SSC GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling Graphics Card

Pros: The card runs everything I have thrown at it from AC Unity, Far Cry 4 to Shadow of Mordor pretty much maxed out and stays VERY playable. This card running +100 core offset, +400 memory offset and 110% power offset paired with an I5-3570K @ 4.6 and 16GB of GSkill Sniper @ 1866 and a Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800w PSU, scored 10979 on Firestrike and maintained a Boost clock of 1512 to 1524 with a max temp of 74C. i7 with hyper threading would score better, especially in the physics part of the test, but for an I-5 and dual channel memory I still think hitting almost 11000 is a pretty strong statement for the power this card has. I run it everyday and in games at +80 core, +250 memory and 105% power and it runs like a champ.

Cons: The fans on this thing, while they do a good job, are quite loud at anything above about 45-50%, and at 100%, on par with a small leaf blower..lol, But they do the job well enough and temps drop VERY quickly when coming off load and the noise subsides quickly.

Overall Review: Coming from and HD7870 Direct CU, this was a HUGE upgrade. Like getting a new computer.

DO NOT buy this!

LINKSYS E3000 Wireless Router simultaneous Dual Band Gigabit 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4GHz / 5GHz up to 300Mbps with USB Built-in UPnP AV Media Server
LINKSYS E3000 Wireless Router simultaneous Dual Band Gigabit 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4GHz / 5GHz up to 300Mbps with USB Built-in UPnP AV Media Server

Pros: The first 45 days were pretty good. N speeds were a little disappointing compared to the netgear, but were still pretty decent.

Cons: Day 46 the router overheated, died and will not even power on. This thing started to run hot and reboot after about 2 weeks. After a month and a half, I came home to no wired or wireless internet and a completely dead router. It won't even power on. Have a 3 year old wrt54g that still works flawlessly, but these things are garbage. Returned to BB and got another Dual Band Netgear that hasn't required a reboot in 3 months and counting.

Overall Review: Buyer Beware!

Excellent case for twice the price, a steal at the price it is!

Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, Blue LED Fan, Black Steel & Plastic - BLACKBONE
Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, Blue LED Fan, Black Steel & Plastic - BLACKBONE

Pros: Case is very deep for a small form factor, it even fits a 9800GTX and leaves room for cable access to hard drives so you don't lose a 3.5 bay because of large cards. Cable management is suprisingly well thought out for a budget case and the large cutout in the MB tray for Heatsink access without mobo removal is a very nice touch Black inside and out and come with all black mobo standoffs and screws, zip ties and some adhesive backed cable guides. Nice touch Tool less drive installs for optical and 3.5 inch drives makes installing them a breeze, once you get the hang of how the retainers work. Filtered air intake, a MUST for those of us who have pets or other dust problems. Much easier access to these filters than with my Antec 900 V2 case. Four USB and an ESata connector on the front with easy access and Power and HD led's are very bright and easy to see and the cables for all of them are plenty long to allow for very good cable management.

Cons: Only real cons I can say are the previously mentioned flex when connecting usb or esata devices, but I dissassembled it to check it out and the acutal plastic housing the circuit board is mounted to, not the connecters themselves is what is flexing, so I don't think I am going to sweat that. Front panel is a little tricky to get off, but comes off easiest by pulling from the bottom. There is a cutout for your hand to fit at the bottom of front bezel. I just pulled straight out from the bottom and it pops right off with a little effort.

Overall Review: This is a great case at twice the price its being sold for, its a steal at 39.99 AND free shipping!! Thanks Newegg....for the 964th time. 8)

Great Memory!

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK

Pros: Does what it says. Installed in an aging p5NE-SLI, manually set memory timings in BIOS, booted to Vista 64 desktop, first time. Plays well with other memory as well, as I installed it alongside 4GB of "another brand" of PC8500 with similar timings and it works just fine with 4x2GB in dual channel mode. Don't know how fast this stuff will really go, but since this board doesn't "officially" support 1066 memory, only 800, forcing you to manually set that speed, I don't think I will push it much past that to see.

Cons: Didn't arrive as 8GB instead of 4...heh. I KNEW I should have bought two kits. No Really, No Cons here. Great product that worked as advertised the first time.

Overall Review: First retry of GSkill after a bad experience with an Athlon FX setup a few years ago, and VERY glad I gave it another go. THIS is the GSkill I remember.
