This review is from: Microsoft XBOX 360 320GB Media Drive
Pros: Works, by Microsoft
Cons: Overpriced for a hard drive, cheapest here.
Other Thoughts: Buy it if you can afford it. Go with the others if not. I've owned my XBox for too long to compromise with a cheap hard drive.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: iLuv Vibro Desktop Alarm Clock with Bed Shaker for iPod iMM153BLK
Pros: Speakers work, charges iPod, two alarms, radio, compact. It's not much bigger than my standard alarm clock. For the $21 I spent, I couldn't find cheaper. I think Wal-Mart's cheapest one was $60 last time I looked. I almost didn't buy it, but it dropped $10 at the last second. I have an Athena iVoice I got at work really cheap, now they're more than five times what I paid or I would have gotten it again. This doesn't sound as good, but it'll give me my computer speakers back so I can listen to my iPod in bed. Auxillary input is nice.
Cons: Not getting shaker to work. No biggie, it's not really necessary. Alarm is really quiet and I'm a hard sleeper. I just set radio first, and alarm second.
Other Thoughts: Has manual, unlike other reviews. I didn't really need it, the iLuv is easy enough to figure out most operations, I had it all set before I looked for the manual.
One reviewer said their neighbor wakes them up. He must be a light sleeper, because this thing isn't the strongest alarm. I can't get the shaker to work, but I bet it's fairly weak, maybe like an XBox remote.
NewEgg surprised me on shipping. I bought it Monday, and received it in Montana on Friday. The shipping box looked like someone tried to play keep-away and hacky sack with it, but nothing was broken and the product box was fine.
Pros: Lots of controls. Looks great. There are 3 different colors of display and you can switch from song info, add the album cover, and then just the song and album cover. You can also dim the display for night driving, but it would be nice if it had an automatic light sensor or input to connect the wire going to your stereo since this is almost a permanent install.
Cons: You can't pick your transmitter channel, only presets, and they can be fuzzy since they're all around a station that comes in. Sound over Bluetooth is poor and fuzzy. No auxiliary input. Frequently while changing songs it will show the message, "Loading..." and you can't change the song or anything but turn your stereo down. This is bad when you've got a song on your playlist that curses at the beginning and you don't want your passengers to hear.
Other Thoughts: Not a bad unit, but I had hoped for more out of it. I do have a couple friends that want to purchase this unit already. It would be nice if you could move the screen enough to mount it on the roof. That would be my best spot, I hate when everyone can see your screen on the dash. It's nice that you can run the output into your stereo for clear sound, I actually didn't see if you could turn off the FM transmitter so nobody could hear your calls.READ FULL REVIEW
