This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit
Pros: It works. From the start you need to understand the concepts that come with it. It has features I'm not interested it...for now.
Cons: It's different but yet most of it is the same.
Other Thoughts: You just have to deal with the difference. It boots up into a desktop that strongly resembles Win 7. Boots faster and runs faster. That means something to me.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Does everything I expected. All the audio & video outputs you could reasonable ask for, including digital audio. HDMI works great.
Cons: Really don't have any.
Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the recording feature.
I have an LG flat panel that had the remote board fail. Had to use the push buttons on the TV to do everything. (The remote itself worked ok.....I could change the store LG TVs when I walked thru. [that was fun] ) Anyway, the remote with the converter works great. Instead of having to pay hundreds $$ to get the LG remote board replaced...this works for much less $ and it has digital audio output. That's something the LG didn't have either! SO I have it connected to work thru my sound system. Something I couldn't do with the LG.
Pros: Very easy build using Phenom II x4 970 e/w 8meg mem. So far no problems whatsoever.
Cons: You must have the manual to spot the correct pins for "reset", "pwr", "HD LED" leads for the front case because nothing visible stenciled on the MB that I could see.
Other Thoughts: Only the 2nd MSI I've used. It works every bit as well as my favorite Gigabyte or ASUS boards.
It's a mystery to me why so many have trouble with MBs.
Can't remember the last time I had a bad one of the 3 mentioned above.
