Pros: It works. Decent key feel. How much can you say about a basic keybooard? This one does the job and seems reliable and solid.

Cons: None.

Linksys WRT54GL Wireless Broadband Router 802.11b/g up to 54Mbps/ Compatible with Open Source DD-WRT (not pre-load)

Pros: I got this router about 10 months ago. Originally I thought I would run the standard firmware -- it worked fine -- but curiosity got the better of me and I replaced it with the Tomato firmware. For the past 10 months it has Just Worked with nary a hiccup.
I think the Tomato firmware may be slightly faster than the stock firmware, and of course there is DD-WRT for fans of that. You can update as you choose, or stay stock. In my experience, the thing is totally reliable.

Cons: About the only things I'd like that it doesn't have are an on-off switch and some provision for hanging it on a wall.

Linksys WRT54GL Wireless Broadband Router 802.11b/g up to 54Mbps/ Compatible with Open Source DD-WRT (not pre-load)

Pros: This router was extremely easy to set up, both for wired and wireless, except for one glitch (See Cons). The Setup program on the supplied CD leads you through the setup steps very clearly and completely.

It's been running now for two days at 100Mb/sec with no problems. I'll be more impressed if I can say that after 6 months, but for now it's doing great. It's faster than my old router, which had deteriorated so that it couldn't run faster than 10Mb/sec.

I'm totally happy with the supplied WD firmware. I suppose if I had a more elaborate network I might be interested in Tomato or similar firmware, but I think the as-delivered firmware should be quite adequate for most users.

Cons: I ran the supplied CD, followed the on-screen instructions, and presto! the router was correctly configured ...almost. I had to manually look at the setup parameters through 192.168.1.1 and disable UPnP, which was on by default. Luckily, I had run into this problem on a previous router and knew that my setup doesn't know what to do with UPnP. I suppose this is a Con only if you can't use UPnP.
