Plextor M.2 SSD Made for Gamers

Plextor M6e M.2 2280 512GB PCI-Express 2.0 x2 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PX-G512M6e
Plextor M6e M.2 2280 512GB PCI-Express 2.0 x2 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PX-G512M6e

Pros: 1. Very Responsive- Fast random read/write speeds 2. Smooth Video and Game Play 3. Immediate Quick Boot in 3 seconds on "Cold Boot" 4. Installed Windows 8.1 Pro in Secure Boot with no issues 5. Driver Free HCI Controller 6. Wakes up from Sleep mode with no issues 7. Comes with 5 Year Warranty 8. Perfect for a Windows Boot Drive.

Cons: I installed the latest Firmware 1.04 which says it supports secure boot and fixes other errors. You need a MSDOS Boot CD and the Plextor files to flash the drive. This method is old and Plextor needs to come up with their own UI with better tools like secure erasing your M.2 SSD or Hardware Monitor to provide the Health of your SSD.

Overall Review: I would have liked the mini M.2 SSD with some kind of metal cover to protect it from ESD. Also when you install any computer electronic equipment like M.2 SSD, Memory, Video Cards etc..,I suggest you ground yourself with an anti-static wrist wrap and use a anti static mat like the ModRight Xtreme Super Large Anti-Static Mod-Mat.

Not A Glossy Glass Finish !

Acer XR341CK bmijpphz Black 34", 21:9 WQHD Curved , 3440 x 1440 LED IPS Monitor, Adaptive-Sync( Free-Sync) with DTS Sound Speakers, USB 3.0, HDMI, MHL, Display Port
Acer XR341CK bmijpphz Black 34", 21:9 WQHD Curved , 3440 x 1440 LED IPS Monitor, Adaptive-Sync( Free-Sync) with DTS Sound Speakers, USB 3.0, HDMI, MHL, Display Port

Pros: 1. IPS Technology 2. Adjustable Stand 3. 75Hz refresh rate 4. 3440x1440 resolution 5. Vesa Mountable 100 x 100m

Cons: 1. Semi-Matte Finish Sucks- This is not a Corning® Gorilla® Glass Monitor- I refuse to game unless the monitor has a glossy glass screen, I know most people prefer matte, but a glossy monitor adds a lot of depth in the darker colors with 5x sharpness. 2. Not a MULTI-TOUCH DISPLAY- Some might argue with me that you don't need a touch screen for gaming, however 10 POINT MULTI-TOUCH is very useful with other software as well as Windows 10.

Overall Review: This is also not a 4K Display Monitor, but it's not needed. Try playing PC games on a LG 55EF9500 Flat OLED 4K Smart TV with a 120hz refresh rate and tell me who is the boss?

True Fatal1ty Gamer's Board

ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Professional LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Professional LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: 1. Dual Lan Ports with Intel and Killer E2200- when managed by Killer Networks your games will increase bandwidth in amazing speeds and improve over all ping. Dual Lan Ports is a MUST and I repeat a MUST in a Gamer's PC. I use the other port for VMware, backup and sync. 2.Creative Sound Core 3D Chip- The best sound core chip on the market. Crystal Clear Sound with a full 7.1 feature. 3. M.2 socket for Generation 2 SSDs-Acquire 10gbs speeds 4. Intel software Goodies!! Intel Rapid Storage, Intel Smart Connect, Intel Rapid Storage and more 5. Sata Express Connectors Ready- A must !! 6. Secure Boot for Windows 8.1 Pro- This type of security will be hard for malaware to take control of your system. 7. Fatal1ty Mouse Port: Awesome 8. Intel Thunderbolt 2 Ready for a 5 pin connector add in card. 9. Ability to Over Clock like a pro

Cons: I would have liked a WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 integrated on this board from my smart phone. Where are the SATA Express SSDs? I know Asus promised an SSD called Hyper Express but where is it? Also in Asrock the compatible Thunderbolt cards are the MSI Thunderbolt Plus. But where is it? It is hard to find these items. I like to show off my computer system build to all my friends and I would have liked the name FATAL1TY on the UEFI Main Setup Utility including the boot. I know this product is from Asrock but it is just not any product, this is FATALI1TY!! WOOOT!!! Also, I am FATAL1TY !!

Overall Review: This Motherboard has all the "Bells and Whistles" provided for a True Fatal1ty Gamer like me. I love that Johnathan Wendel asks for the best hardware there is out there for that a gamer wishes to have. I love the Fire Engine Red color for the aluminum alloy heat sinks. Also I would like for John to make a Fatal1ty Logo with LED just like Asus has it's Republic of Gamers Logo on it's Motherboards.

The Best Gaming Router 2014

Linksys WRT1900AC Wireless AC Dual Band Router AC1900, Open Source ready, eSATA/ USB 3.0 Ports
Linksys WRT1900AC Wireless AC Dual Band Router AC1900, Open Source ready, eSATA/ USB 3.0 Ports

Pros: 1. Easy to configure, set it and forget it. 2. USB 3.0 port. 3. On and Off switch (comes in handy). 4. The design looks like a robot, very stylish, looks hefty and tough. 5. LED's are soft white and not blinding. 6. IPV6 support. 7. Can handle extreme speeds like Road Runner's highest Speed Tier. 8. Wireless can be extended with another WRT1900AC 9. You can watch Netflix without interrupts. 10. Can handle any HD media and wireless device without a burp.

Cons: 1. Can get Warm due to fast speeds and multiple connections. A small fan aimed at the router would be advisable. 2. Price is high, but you get what you pay for

Overall Review: The is far the best router for my overall network upgrade. I changed my modem to docsis 3.0, changed my switches to gigabit ethernet and all my ethernet cables are now CAT 6.

XB ATX- The New Form Factor

Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - High Air Flow Test Bench and LAN Box Desktop Computer Case with ATX Motherboard Support
Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - High Air Flow Test Bench and LAN Box Desktop Computer Case with ATX Motherboard Support

Pros: I have always thought that PC cases should be bulkier, with the form of a cube, and have the motherboard sitting flat instead of sideways. I finally have seen my wish come true. The idea of having the motherboard sitting flat on the pc case solves many issues with heavy copper, aluminum, and nickel hanging CPU heat sinks. Second, Air blows straight onto the motherboard and exhausts air outside the back of the case in series. Third as you can see bulky and heavy graphics card is now able sit upright and no longer hangs like the heat sinks. Also, they are able to suck more air through the side panel vents. Perfect!!

Cons: the Front 140mm Fans intakes sit too close together, they need to be at least an inch apart. I am not able to install the Nexus Beamair grills. Get rid of the two 80mm fan exhausts in the rear and replace it with one 120mm which will add a few inches. The side panels should have been fully perforated. I can’t emphasize it more. Every pc should either have mesh or plenty of perforation holes. By having more air through the case it will have better cooling and will help extend the life of the electronic components. I have never liked the idea of placing the power supply facing down at the bottom of the case. The power supply components get hot and heat rises. The placement of the power supply underneath the center of the CPU can be dangerous. Instead I would have preferred the way Xigmatek Gigas has its power supply sideways on its case. I would have also preferred four 5.25 drive bays in the front instead of the two swappable bay drives. Side panels should have had optional 240 rads mounts. The 200mm fan on the top case is not needed as it already has ample cooling from the front 140mm fans. A clear windows would have been a plus for pc builders to display or show off their gaming rig.

Overall Review: I know I am too picky, but I would have preferred an all brushed fine aluminum like the Lian Li or Xigmatek Gigas Case.

Boom i got yo' bass!!!

Creative Sound Blaster ZxR PCIe 124dB SNR Sound Card with 600ohm Headphone Amp and Desktop Audio Control Module
Creative Sound Blaster ZxR PCIe 124dB SNR Sound Card with 600ohm Headphone Amp and Desktop Audio Control Module

Pros: I have always labeled Creative for being the Sound Experts, and let me tell you they are. They are the Masters in creating sound. What Creative built on this ZXR was an amp. Good Lord, you will hear the boom!! pow!! crash!! zoom!! etc. effects. In Gaming, it is perfect. It also has gold capacitors with a nice metal shield protecting it from interference. Plus all the connectors you need to plug it into your stereo receiver.

Cons: This sound card is Not for the Audiophile. If you are using this card as an All in one card, and you love recording or listening to music, this is not your card. The Xfi Titanium would be your choice. There are many software features missing. Honestly when I began testing the software I said to myself " is this it?" I felt that more software features were needed. To top it off this is not a True Xfi card.

Overall Review: 124db might be way too loud for some people. Either upgrade your speakers, or you may need to place your speakers further away from you pc desk or you will turn deaf..lol . For the bass lovers this card is your dream. Also you might be interested in ASRock's Fatal1ty Z87 since it has the latest integrated Creative Sound Core 3d quad core chip with loads of software features even for the Audiophile.... don't ask me why?.. lol "Life is not Fair"
