Silverstone SST-FP37B USB 3.0 USB 3.0 Card Reader, Support SDXC Format with Extra Silver Front Panel (Black)
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Works when plugged in while machine boots
Looks nice
Seems durable

Cons: Does not fit into slot well
Firmware to allow booting impossible to install

Other Thoughts: Does not fit well in a Gigabyte F990-UD3 motherboard. There's this capacitor that sits RIGHT NEXT TO THE SLOT, and it gets stuck on the capacitor when I try to plug it in.

I carved the thick insulation from the plug to fit it in, and it works. (Not proud of that hack, but I was getting frusterated with unplugging and replugging it to install the firmware and thought that I needed a better connection, so chopped it down to allow for a tighter connection)

Firmware update still does not install.

XIGMATEK AOS (Aeronautical Oil System Bearing) XAF-F1452 140mm Case Fan Ultra Quiet Copper Bushing Axis Aeronautical Oil System Bearing
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Looks nice, solid construction, seems like a good fan, one of the few 140 to support PWM right now

Cons: Chord slightly too short

Other Thoughts: I just want another, oh, half inch to inch of chord. The chord just does not quite reach the fan slot in the back of my Cooler master case from my Gigabyte FF990 motherboard's 4-pin sys_fan_1 slot.
