Pros: In my opinion there is no reason to have any other chip for your standard gaming machine. Sure it isn't the best or the brightest, but any savings you make on grabbing this CPU instead of one of the upgrades can be spent on the GPU.
Cons: When I came to leave this review I found out that they are now giving away a free game with it, missed it by hours. So my only Con is that this great card didn't come with free stuffREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Perfect set of speakers for apartment living. Subwoofer isn't anything amazing, but gets the job doone: which is nice for my downstairs neighbors.
Very easy setup. Not really any need for directions, just plug and play.
Keeping it at about 50% volume is more than enough to fill the space with sound. Anything above that is just for fun/good tool for annoying neighbors.
They give you PLENTY of speaker cord. I was easily able to run wires from my TV, under the carpet and up the back wall.
Side Note:I have this hooked up to my PC, with audio and video going through an HDMI cable out from a Radeon 6900. Setting up the surround sound using realtek audio took about 5 seconds (the time it took to change from stereo to 5.1 surround in the dropdown menu).
Cons: Have to hook composite cable to the TV to get some of the more advanced menu options. Took me longer to find an old composite cable than it did for the entire setup (Though this menu is not in any way necessary).
Other Thoughts: Not really a con, but would have been nice to have screws + anchors included for wall mounting, I had enough lying around, but I always like it when companies include that sort of thing. Though I understand that not everyone is mounting to drywall, but most everyone in an apartment/condo is (which is what I assume these are designed for).READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Works. This is all you can ask a motherboard to do.
On top of this though, the motherboard came with a bunch of cables. has plug-ins pretty much everywhere you'd want them (see cons for a slight exception). Was very easy to install (again see cons for a slight exception).
I'm a long time ASUS user, but I really think this board shows that ASRock is a quality company.
Cons: fan plug-ins seemed clumped together. This made it difficult to plug in my front fan, side fan, and rear fan.
The only layout picture of the board is in the user manual and is about 3" X 5". This would make it very difficult for a new user to figure out where things were.
The board itself is labeled well though (for the most part) the power switch plug-ins were labeled oddly, took me two tries to get it plugged in correctly, and I'm guessing it could be more difficult for users new to building PCs.
Other Thoughts: I would buy this again without a second thought.READ FULL REVIEW
