Great
Pros: Slim. Feels sturdy. I can get all my stuff on the software, set it to burn, and concentrate on doing other things (sometimes on the computer, sometimes around the home). Keeps burning. I use it for CD, DVD, and BD and it's all satisfactory.
Cons: The software it comes with is on trial basis (or limited use), so you have to either upgrade to their full software or buy other software to burn blu-ray discs.
Overall Review: Sure, it can be "slow" but remember when CD burners only burned at 4x or 8x? Yeah it's not going to burn 25GB in 3 minutes now, maybe in a few years, but some need to stop being impatient and recognize the limitations of the hardware they are purchasing. My media burns at 4x and I'm okay with that. For my business (photography) I need accuracy over speed. I always use both USB cables, even though I've seen it work with a single cable...but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Does NOT work as described
Pros: Small form factor
Cons: The description says it supports sound, but neither does this adapter carry sound via the native DP, nor does it a place to plug in a 3.5mm jack to add sound.
Great
Pros: Great! A couple of coasters, but that could have been my fault. Burns at 4x on the Samsung BD-R. I set and forget (can't expect the 23 useable GB to burn in three minutes).
Cons: I wish they had some labeling so I wouldn't get them mixed up with other types of media
Overall Review: The labeling isn't really a "con" as I print my own labels anyway afterwards, but we'll see how these hold up in longevity. I purchased them on sale and it was worth it...I hope they go on sale again soon so I can get more.
