This review is from: OtterBox Defender Series f/Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch - Black
Pros: Good product at a good price. Protects phone exceptionally well. NewEgg shipped it out fast and without using DHL (Using FedEx now) to get to local post office, package arrived twice as fast :) Free Shipping FTW!
Cons: There seems to be known issues with the outer case stretching out too much and having to be replaced.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Corsair Lifetime Warranty. Outstanding memory at an even better price. Runs flawlessly, at rated speeds and timings, on Gigabyte GA-P67A-D3-B3 motherboard, which recognized sticks without issue. Simple eXtended Memory Profile (XMP) adjustment is all that's need, in Bios, to achieve 1600mhz and 8,8,8,24 timings. If you have issues with your Ram, Corsair's forums and support are top notch in helping you resolve issues.
Cons: Should have gotten 2x4gb set instead, but I had a specific budget for upgrade and had to stick to it. With only 4gb of Ram, I am unable to Alt+Tab out of Battlefield:Bad Company 2 :(
Other Thoughts: On my specific motherboard (GA-P67A-D3-B3), these heatspreaders are not intrusive of my Xigmatek Dark Knight Heatsink/Fan at all. Other, larger heatsinks may have issues with clearance. Have had no need to overclock further than rated speeds, cause this Corsair Vengeance Ram is plenty fast for my needs.
Upgrade path went as follows:
Intel Q9650@4.0ghz---->Intel i5 email@example.com
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P----->Gigabyte GA-P67A-D3-B3
OCZ Reaper 1066mhz 4x2gb----->Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz
Sapphire HD5770----->Sapphire HD5870
Without using video card for encoding, my previous encoding of a 6gb movie went from 8-10min to 1min49sec.....can you say WOW?!?!?!?! Yeah, now close your mouth ;)
This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-P67A-D3-B3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Inexpensive solution on P67 platform. Booted up and recognized hardware right away. Plenty of Bios options for overclocking. As always, NewEgg's shipping with UPS was superb.
Cons: Had issues with USB ports, initially. Board ships with F1 Bios, so make sure you have a PS2 Keyboard handy and flash to F2 with USB Stick using QFlash at bootup. Now everything is just fine.
Other Thoughts: Immediately changed CPU multi to 40 and board is rock stable on all stock voltages. Installed drivers from included disk, then uninstalled drivers from old 775 platform. Using Win 7 64-bit and DID NOT have to reformat. Even recognized previous Raid0 setup!
Switched to i5 2500k @4.0 and this board using Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600...coming from Q9650@4.0, EP45-UD3P, DDR2 setup and the video encoding difference is phenominal. Used to take 8-10 min to encode 1½hr movie, now 1min49sec. Thank you NewEgg for providing me with another upgrade to last for years!
