  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

5 out of 5 eggs Very Nice 03/13/2014

This review is from: Rosewill Reflex RGM-1000 Laser Gaming Mouse

Pros: Perfect for my use; not a gamer so don't really use side buttons. Multiple settings right from the mouse to speed up or slow down the cursor. Fits perfectly in my hand ;)

Cons: None

SAMSUNG XE303C12-A01US Chromebook Samsung Exynos 1.70 GHz 2 GB Memory 16 GB SSD 11.6
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Samsung specs are accurate
No need for virus/malware apps
Automatic updates; improvements over time
Long battery life in everyday use (streaming content)
Responsive keyboard
Cool after hours of consistent usage
Access to Google and non-Google services (apps for Hotmail, Skydrive, etc. avail. from Google Web store)
Sound quality and video brightness are excellent
Free online storage of documents
Log on to multiple Google accounts (work/personal) with customized background images, apps, default home pages, etc.
Overall value for the price is off the charts

Cons: No keyboard backlighting
No touchscreen interface
Slight learning curve (navigation)

Other Thoughts: Best investment I've made in some time. I already have plans to ditch my Google Nexus tablet as I now find myself using my Chromebook daily instead. Setup takes a few minutes and upgrades are instant. This won't run Windows software (including Office) so please know this before rushing to purchase this laptop. However, if you take the time to learn Google Apps, you'll find that living in a non-Microsoft world is the way to go. Live document collaboration with others from across the state (or globe). Microsoft wants you to pay annually for use of their Office cloud solution ($99) while Google offers you free apps and gives you 100gb of online storage free for 2 years. I'm in my 40's now and I am now convinced I can still hang with the younger crowd with this new technology. Thank you Google and Samsung for your efforts on improving the Chromebook. Can't wait to see what you come out with next!

Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 for Business Black 4 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB 2.4 GHz RF BlueTrack 1000 dpi
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Simple design; lightweight but surprising sturdy
Scroll is nice and smooth, no clicking noises
Great overall mouse for non-gamers

Cons: DPI and button options are not suitable for gaming

Other Thoughts: I'm not much of a gamer, so I really like this mouse overall. I purchased a slightly different model but the only difference with my mouse is that it has one side button instead of two. By default, the side button acts like a Backspace option which is great when browsing to go back to the previous page instantly. Great buy as far as I'm concerned.
