This review is from: Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB Tunable Gaming Mouse
Pros: They had ample opportunity for greatness. (something they saved for the new G900)
Switches on everything. EVERYTHING.
Fits my hand like a glove after 7 hours of getting used to it.
Smaller than pictures. in fact very small. (i was scared it was large)
Mouse feet issue fixed. They don't begin to decelerate after 5 hours.
The left side LOOKS "cluttered" in pictures. Yet so simple in real life.
Short or long fingers you can reach every button easily.
Mouse cord has a Velcro tie. (i don't use a bungee usually a tie rap)
a cord protector AT THE BASE. its long and keeps the cord flat and the wire safe.
Internals sensor etc.
Cons: The scroll wheel. (they released a version with the same big problem)
You read all this before. Why would a person take off 2 stars for one small part of a mouse? Because its not a small part of a mouse. Scrolling is something you will do with your mouse daily for however long you use it. In fact id say its 50% of what you will do. In Windows, On The Net, In games, In Photoshop, Movie Editing, ALL OF IT. It REALTY truly is the most valuable part of a WORKING mouse (in practice that is) A WORKING one. Not the sensor, switches anything. A cheap mouse, a 14 dollar one. has a better scroll wheel than this mouse. Its not an overstatement and it isn't to say they didn't think about the mouse. Its just that they over thought about the wheel.
* Its a high mass wheel (no one asked for one) Infinity scroll was fast enough.
* Infinity Scroll mode
- LATERALLY too loose. Any non aggressive left right movement produces audible wobble noise.
- The "high mass" wheel (no one asked for) rocks back and forth the end of its spin so does the page.
- SOMETIMES 30% of the time maybe? middle click (tho shallow rolls the wheel on screen) no buffer.
*Stepping scroll mode
- Each click forward or back is TOO robust. with pressure its nice.
- Without this "pressure" some rolls (beginning ones) fail to register until roll 2
- No rubber on the wheel. I don't mid this but the first problem ruins it.
- This mouse only has ONE working mode. Infinity scroll became too annoying.
Other Thoughts: I love infinity scroll on my G9.... How they managed to ruin this is beyond me.
Whats the verdict?
I like the mouse.. all mice have their flaws. None are 5 stars that's a total lie. This mouse is NOT a 5 star mouse. But i like it. I collect mice. YES i collect them. I have THE ENTIRE G series maybe... not some of the special editions but just the main ones. AND the original boxes. I can live with this mouse. I am stuck in one mode of scrolling which even still has its problems but i LIKE the mouse. There is also a lighting issue with the software a false positive. Which isn't a con for me since EVERY RGB has a problem from most every company. This is the mouse they should have released first.. not the blue only one. I say that now because they didn't even fix the REAL problem, SO it doesn't matter IF it came out first.
G900's coming i cant wait to review that one too.
This review is from: Creative Sound Blaster EVO 3.5mm/ USB Connector Circumaural Headset
Pros: They still work
Cons: broke again duct tape holding them in place just bought some Audiotechnica's id been pricing anyway on E--bay. Both the plastic bands up top got weak until it broke
Other Thoughts: maybe you should look elsewhere. They tried with a replacement it lasted longer i take care of all my things but it got weaker and weaker. I want to thank them for trying though.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great motherboard
RAM Overclocking is stellar. Clocks past all declared ratings by gigabyte (on air) which are probably outdated since release.
No cons other than sound from the G1 board.
The sound on this board tho cheap is just as good as most board on-board sound if not better.
Gain in SATA and USB when skipping on the G1
( In case you were wondering what you gain from G1)
Supports classic boot modes on 1 and 7 SATA plugs
(if i remember correctly)
Cons: A bios full of double entry's and 90s style.
Mouse support in bios is buggy.
Fast boot is not consistent with some SATA drives.
Why i m not sure, not that it matters cause boot is fast on SSDS
Other Thoughts: Could have come with ONE USB3 dongle. Of the 2 things it comes with they could have added it. Its cheap and literally cost them nothing. I wish the bios was better. i mean i LOVE old style bios over the new hyper styled c.r.a.p. but it doesn't mean it has to LOOK like its from the 90s. gigabyte has totally gone cheap in this respect.READ FULL REVIEW
