Pros: Monitor works as advertised, audio works isn't great but that's to be expected.
Newegg did a fabulous job for its part of taking my money and shipping me the original monitor. ASUS dropped the ball on the rest.
Cons: My monitor develop a vertical stripe of dead pixels from top to bottom in the middle of the screen. Tested to ensure it was not a cable or video card by using separate computer and cable input.
My biggest gripe was ASUS support overall. First off, I tried chat support for an RMA, they told me I had to call in, no biggie that's their policy that's fine.
I called the first number, 3 menus in this is not the right number for this particular product. Called the second number, this is the right place but not for creating RMA's. Called the third number, got a very helpful tech that got the RMA setup, however they couldn't do advanced RMA on the phone had to be via email so I could sign a document, fine no biggie that's their policy.
I receive the email, fill it out. Guess what? No return fax number or email address to tell me where to send this back to. For those curious its: Xship_RMA@asus.com Call back, sit on hold, menus etc to get to this part.
I received the advanced replacement for my monitor (which at this point my original monitor would no longer turn on, it just crapped out). Swap everything out. Guess what? No return label or instructions on where to send the defective monitor to! And, if I don't get it back within 14 days their policy is to charge you full price and not do anything else about it even if they receive the product on the 15day!
I am very dissapoint with ASUS support. I have always loved their products until this monitor incident.
TL;DR: Monitor had dead pixel veritical line, then died, ASUS support gave me trouble every step of the way for advanced RMA replacement, new monitor from the RMA works like a charm though. Still don't know how to send the old one back and am currently and have been on hold for over an hour to find out where to send it back to before they charge my credit card for not getting back in 14 days.
This review is from: Risen PC Game
Pros: Game is awesome, graphics are good. The combat system is nice, not like mmo where you stand there and hit, and they hit and you hit and they hit. This game, you can move around, sidestep backstep parry, and as you level up combat (if you do) you gain more skills and tricks to use in combat. The amount of side skills like cooking, alchemy, smithing, scroll writing, lock picking, pick pocketing etc is nice and keeps it fresh. Some of the quests are outside the box of regular questing as well, which is refreshing from standard go here kill this or go here collect this, although there is a fair amount of that.
Cons: These aren't really cons as I enjoy these aspects of the game, but might turn off some non-hardcore rpg fans.
-No glowing trail to quests (aka fable2). You only get the people that gave the quest on the map, and nothing else. You must find your way by asking questions and exploring.
-You will die a lot in the beginning if you mess around, and there are plenty of creatures that will mop the floor with you if you try to fight them early-mid way on.
Other Thoughts: Awesome game.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The headphones were comfortable and having individual speaker volume selection is nice. They arrived 2-3 days after purchase, newegg is always good for that.
Cons: The overall quality of these headphones was poor at best. I read the other reviews and assumed these were the headphones to go with, however after hooking them up and configuring them I was disappointed. There is virtually no bass output even with the sub maxed, as you tweak the volume on speakers it dramatically shifts the virtual 3d feeling of where sounds are coming from (more than it should). Overall the sound quality was weak, especially for music. I found gaming with them to be even worse.
Other Thoughts: I thought my problems were my soundcard at first, but I have a similar pair of zalmans and regardless of the configurations the tritton's sounded terrible and the zalman's sounded great. And I got the zalman's for the same price.READ FULL REVIEW
